A bit of a rambling In defense of Goo DoWon :
I absolutely adore this scene. Over the past few episodes, Dowon’s growing affection for YiYoung has become increasingly evident, but this conversation felt like the moment of realization - the epiphany where he understands that his actions have irreversibly shifted the dynamics between them.
#JungJoonWon’s performance was masterful in its subtlety. Every fleeting expression conveyed so much, and I’m thrilled he was cast as Dowon. While some viewers may argue he doesn’t fit the mold of a "classically handsome" male lead, his charisma is undeniable. And really, beauty is subjective - there are plenty of conventionally attractive actors who leave me completely unaffected, while someone like Joon Won captivates effortlessly.
I also want to defend Dowon’s actions. While, yes, I’d love for him to confess his feelings sooner rather than later, that doesn’t automatically make the anesthetist a better choice. At the end of the day, YiYoung’s heart is what matters - and it’s clear where her affections lie.
Dowon isn’t just a brilliant doctor; he’s a man of depth, principle, and quiet devotion. If he’s hesitant, it’s because the stakes couldn’t be higher. He’s not just navigating love—he’s balancing professional boundaries as her direct superior and mentor, alongside the delicate family ties that bind them. Any adult would tread carefully in such a situation, let alone two people whose existing relationship is already so layered.
But that’s exactly why his restraint speaks volumes. The fact that he’s weighing every step, every consequence, proves he isn’t treating this lightly. This isn’t indecision—it’s respect. And when the time comes, that very thoughtfulness will make their relationship all the more meaningful.
they just kept laughing before taking that confession scene 🤣 i'm not sure what's so funny about it lmao
*also dowon's rejection after coming out of the elevator is younjung's idea 🤗

“Humanities degrees are useless” is propaganda that’s had the effect of convincing a whole generation that reading and critical thinking skills were unimportant. Now we’re reaping the results with mass illiteracy and a public eager to embrace conspiracy theories and fascism.
