Following a recent Scottish Pool Association national event it was announced by an administrator that the "stupidity, violence and downright aggression" of players towards each other and tournament staff had created a dangerous environment.

Ross McInnes, Scottish pool's head honcho, but with fingers in multiple pies, has declared it is time to call it a day "doing events".
It is hard to overestimate the significance of his contribution towards the current status of blackball pool.
It is a well deserved retirement.

Undoubtedly enterprising and competent league administrators can make a difference.
