Performed a rolling upgrade of our Vault cluster today from 1.3.10 to 1.11.0. 6 nodes spread across 3 DCs. Nginx+ load balancer in front for both L7 and L4. Zero downtime and zero problems encountered =)
@bagder Yay for dropping support for dead things. When I was at a very large Swedish agency about 4-5 years ago the code was still riddled with #ifdefs for platforms long gone.
COVID-19 has mostly passed now. Felt crap for like 5 days with ups and downs and now my nose is just jammed and some goo in the throat left 😃 thanks for the get better wishes
Hooking up a 2.5W laser on my @carbide3d Nomad 883 Pro mill. Made a holder on it to attach the laser around the spindle. This is going to be awesome. LASER ALL THE THINGS!!!
It would also allow for probing Z on a grid to map variations in surface flatness on PCBs and compensate for those during milling. Would improve quality on fine detailed engraving
I built a prototype of my zero-Z probe when milling PCB and other conductive materials on my Nomad #carbide3D CNC mill. Basically just a circuit that closes and turns on the LED when spring and mill comes in contact with the surface. Need to miniaturize it a bit in next version
hey @carbide3d here's a small product improvement idea for next gen Nomad. Add ports for normal test probes with banana connectors and make Carbide Motion be able to automatically find zero-Z on conductive surfaces using those
