Main roads are dealt with by central government/NWA, local roads dealt with by Parish Councils/Municipal Corporations. This is why the current government has been pushing for the One Road Authority so it's more streamlined/centralized

@Meyeownboss @Negrilgrown One could argue that the reward is available in the free/having discounted training tracks (HEART) to be certified to do the work needed. Foreign nationals would come in already trained. But I agree in valuing those already here doing a good job accordingly

@iamrachel93_ In all fairness, he was not asked any questions in Parliament. In Parliament, the questions were directed to Minister Chang during the question and answer portion subsequent to a statement by the Minister.

@japphic @TheDevMac876 @vaewest A slower paced lifestyle. Lower stress environment. Nature access (beaches, mountains, rivers). Fresh locally sourced foods. Jamaica has a lot to offer, it's just for our people to really see and know and seek to benefit before foreign transplants do but that is already happening

@TLeslie__ @BigBattyVulpix As I understand it, the jobs and opportunities are there (and will increase with NaRRA) but we didn't have enough skilled workers to build. That's why government has been pushing HEART

@BigBattyVulpix From my understanding, that's the issue. Homes are being built but not at the rate necessary because we lack the skilled workers needed to build at a rapid pace

@bbyannabel_ True. My mom didn't play that. Although my wife does the cooking (she's just better at it and genuinely enjoys it), one thing I do is keep a house TIDY

Tbh the world got comfortable (see: lazy) by allowing the US to gain a monopoly (and therefore control) over a lot of key services and infrastructure tbh.

All it took was one man with a blatant disregard for law and mores for them to realise just how exposed we all are.

The traffic is a major factor in the lack of productivity at work. Cause to wake up before day and sit in this for hrs, by you reach work you are already exhausted and miserable.

We have to start addressing the traffic seriously.
