literally always thought I would be looking like sarah connor by the time the apocalypse came around but here I am at the farmer’s market, with gloves and a face mask on, thrilled about my ability to locate eggs.
@DelightfulDeli3@RealCandaceO That’s because technology hasn’t gotten to the point where it’s flawless, but there’s countless amounts of studies gearing up for it via dna editing. 50 years from now, all of these arguments will be considered nuanced and silly due to tech advancement.
@ricci1_scott@TheyFearTheHare@RealCandaceO What does it say about my psyche? the term avatar can describe one’s image. if you’re narrowing it down to the movie avatar, that says a lot about your literacy level.
@JaneRomines@RealCandaceO So does this mean you’d prefer to opt out of using scientific treatments if faced with a deadly disease? because that’s god’s plan right?
@BlackLabel_708@9redrabbits @God1stjero_life @RealCandaceO lol logic bro mad (can we start calling these folks that — the ones that view themselves as logical but are really cherry picking arguments?) I wonder how he treats his hospital stays i.e “don’t treat me it’s not natural!!!”
@TheyFearTheHare@RealCandaceO Yeah but just bc there are bad actors out there suffering from the dunning-krugar effect doesn’t rule out this movement. Utilizing technology to alter one’s avatar stemmed from scientific discoveries.. similar to concepts like nuerolink. How would you define science?
@LorrieBoca@RealCandaceO I love that you’re open to not limiting other’s freedoms — that’s super important. As for the available tech, yeah it’s a new study. When #crispr evolves, it will be much more thorough and these arguments will seem very silly/nuanced.
@Bagofbread2@Mexi_kon420@9redrabbits @God1stjero_life @RealCandaceO I see, that makes more sense. However, how do you feel about technologies like #crispr which will allow others to completely alter their DNA? 🧬 That will certainly blur the lines a bit — at some point, maybe others should be allowed to choose their own destiny?
@LorrieBoca@RealCandaceO I see, but not sure why you’re making genders plural/about new genders when the tweet was about men/women. However, to contrast your point, science = the tool that allows us to alter bodies. The male penis can become a vagina with a procedure. That’s just fact.
@Bick_Nutler @God1stjero_life @RealCandaceO Look, I’m not a part of the tribe that uses derogatory terms to shut down an argument. I’m a liberal that listens to reason. Forceful compliance, imo, is wrong at any angle. But there are narratives that have formed under misunderstandings which I think are important to address.
@SeanP88ZA @RealCandaceO Well, how do you define science? For biology, I view it as developing the tech to influence one’s body… which we see occur in 100% of all hospital stays. If someone wants to switch their avatar, yes, they can now use technology & #crispr is going to influence this further. 🧬
@LorrieBoca@RealCandaceO Cool, so you agree that people can alter their bodies using technology. I guess it isn’t magic after all. But, it’s interesting that you wouldn’t correlate this with a scientific breakthrough considering all of the studies that it took for us to get to this point.
@Bick_Nutler @God1stjero_life @RealCandaceO Who said anything about sports? Most advocates are in alignment with keeping them separated. That’s a right-wing push. For bathrooms…why wasn’t this ever argued for communal bathrooms which have existed forever? Seems like you’re 🍒 picking your arguments.
