Sorry for the long post, but this is super important.
This is my sweet daughter, Francesca, one month before she died of brain cancer. She never got the chance to build the life and legacy she deserved, so we are building one in her name.
Over the past six years, Team Beans has raised $3.7 million for infant brain tumor research. This year, we’ve raised $77,000 toward our $100,000 goal for Dana-Farber, and we are just $23,000 away.
I cannot overstate how important this funding is to Francesca’s doctors and researchers. It has already made a real difference: a clinical trial and registry for her type of cancer were created entirely because of the people who supported Team Beans.
Francesca was so full of life, even when she was sick. After watching this terrible disease take my child, helping find a cure became the cause of my life.
I ran two Boston Marathons to raise money, and I would run one every day if it meant helping cure this disease. Now, I ride the Pan-Mass Challenge every year for Francesca and for every baby still fighting.
Please consider supporting Team Beans in the PMC. Donate, share this post, or tell someone Francesca’s story. Every gift matters.
For Francesca. For every baby still fighting.

🚨 Hundreds of newborn babies in incubators in #Gaza are at imminent risk of death as fuel supplies run dry.
@UNFPA—the @UN sexual and reproductive health agency—calls on Israeli authorities, with utmost urgency, to allow the entry of fuel into Gaza.

This is my friend Rahaf, from Gaza. Meeting her and her wonderful mama changed my life.
Rahafs young brothers and father are still in Gaza.

We have the supplies, plan, will, and networks to deliver massive amounts of lifesaving aid to civilians in Gaza, in line with humanitarian principles, as the world is demanding.
Enough. Let us work. No more time to lose.
Once again, a perfect braid, styled by a mother who rose early in her displacement tent to prepare a future scholar for her makeshift classroom
Hungry, likely without even having had dinner last night, yet neat, beautiful, and more determined than ever to chase her education through the rubble.
Good morning from Gaza
Orphaned at age 6 and a student of Baltimore's segregated school system, #LucyDiggsSlowe graduated at the top of her class from @HowardU and later became Howard’s first Dean of Women. Learn more about this inspiring woman: https://t.co/9OT1TbYxzd #BlackHistoryMonth
This is Khaled Nabhan, whom Israel just murdered
One of the kindest & purest souls of our time
His only fault was existing in Gaza
They first murdered his granddaughter, "the soul of his soul", then bombed his family's home & now murdered him in broad daylight with impunity!
I don’t know to who we are sending the urgent calls or who we are appealing to, as it’s obvious that the north of Gaza is being exterminated and no one can stop this.
All of our screams are falling on deaf ears.
Maybe the last pic
Please, if I am martyred, remember me and continue talking about me, because I am not a number, but a planet in itself. I have ambitions and dreams that I have always wanted to achieve.
dont forget me in your prayers.
URGENT
The Israeli army is committing terrible massacres in Jabalia refugee camp and many areas in North Gaza, burning houses, and using tanks and artillery bombardment and forcing many innocent civilians to walk as human shields in front of the army’s vehicles. The Israeli army isolated the Northern part of Gaza completely from Gaza city. The area is already subjected to starvation, deprivation of clean water and medical care. According to witnesses in the area bodies of killed people are scattered in the streets. The army is also trying to force the medical personnel to evict the three hospitals in the area.
Entering Oxford. Feeling a rush of emotions.
I just left Amsterdam, where my aunt lives. She told me that my education was revenge.
Vengeance against her father, who banned women of our family from school, vengeance against the Taliban, and those who fear an educated woman.
“Our only crime was to be born Palestinian. For that, we've been sentenced to death by an apathetic world.”
I'm 15 year Sara Saleh Hasouna, a school student, in Gaza.
Before my school was destroyed by Israel, I loved geography and history classes best, and dreamt of travelling the world, experiencing different cultures and visiting ancient sites. For now, due to the Israeli siege on us, we can’t escape anywhere. So I use my imagination and tell stories to my best friend when she gets scared of the bombing to distract her. We have a great many plans for the future.
But our plans never bore fruit, because on October 24th, for absolutely no reason, an Israeli warplane bombed our home killing me, my entire family and all our dreams. We were innocent victims of the genocide.
From Gaza, under the sounds of bombing, inside our small tent, my children Imad and Adam, and I want to tell you: don't forget us 💔 and don't leave us alone in this war...
“the laughing, intelligent, and lighthearted girl, who captured the heart from the first meeting, will never laugh or see the bright future awaiting her”
Hi, I’m Ahed Arouk. My mama and baba are my best friends. I love mama because she makes the best food. And I love baba because he always plays with me. Grandma and grandpa are the best, they always tell me I’m smart and hug me and tell me they love me.
I’m excited to start kg, my mama told me all about it, I want to make so many friends.
I love my room, I love my bed, and I love playing in the living room with my family. They told us to leave our house, but we didn’t leave.
“Ahed and her family refused to be displaced and clung to their home and what remained of it, until they were martyred on June 4 in an Israeli bombardment of their home”
Sudan’s children are under attack, and it’s not being reported or noticed enough.
