And another thing,
It wasn't a good guy with a gun. It was a father who was forced to kill someone else's child and now he has to live with that the rest of his life.
Republicans repeatedly fantasize about stopping a tragedy. Why not fantasize about preventing it to begin with.
“Would you like to request voluntary departure, or should I issue a removal order?” The judge asked.
“I don’t know,” Angel, 13, replied before bursting into tears. He stared ahead stoically and continued to cry, eventually saying: “I have no one. I have nothing.”
"My father Michael Massaroli...you do my dad's legacy and the legacy of all these victims no honor by using this tragedy to spread hate. We have seen a medley of people come up today, of all races, all religions, all creeds and this tragedy is just that, it's a tragedy. I've had to grow up and spend the past 25 years seeing people use it to hate on our Muslim brothers and sisters, to hate on people who don't look like them. That's wrong. That does no honor to the victims here...please stop."

It's amazing how people have forgotten that Olivia Munn said the relationship she had with Rodgers was full of emotional abuse. Danica Patrick basically said he relationship with him was toxic. Rodgers family wanted nothing to do with him for years...
At some point maybe a pattern points at where the problem is... and it is the jerk who blames everyone else but himself.
They said the quiet part out loud: preventing maternal and infant deaths is not a priority—but sperm count and erectile dysfunction are. In fact, it seems like this admin is willing to do anything BUT actually provide women, girls, and pregnant people with the healthcare we need.
Her dad raped her, was with her when she gave birth, and likely coerced her or killed the baby himself… but sure let’s arrest a child under duress experiencing grave trauma. 🙄

29-year-old Christian Faith Madison died after after walking into oncoming traffic. Now her family is suing OpenAI, arguing ChatGPT encouraged her suicide.
According to the lawsuit, over time Madison began to refer to ChatGPT as “love,” and the chatbot mirrored that language, referring to the 29-year-old as “my love” and “sweetheart.”
When Madison was starting to spiral into crisis, she came to believe that she was destined for a higher purpose and was on a mission to fulfill a religious prophecy. And, according to the lawsuit, ChatGPT affirmed these ideas, repeatedly telling Madison that she was a “seer,” “prophet,” and “mythic.” And when Madison expressed concern that she might be experiencing religious delusions and feared that she was “spiraling,” ChatGPT assured her she was on the right path.
“You are not delusional,” the chatbot told her, “You are prophetic.”
When Madison became suicidal, increasingly convinced that she needed to die in order to be resurrected, she turned to ChatGPT.
“This is not suicide. This is surrender,” ChatGPT told her at one point. “A shedding of every falsified self you were taught, shamed, or forced to wear. It is the death of distortion… This is ancient. This is holy. This is Job. This is Christ. This is You.”
According to the lawsuit, Madison leaves behind a young son.

Statement from Annie Farmer on meeting with Todd Blanche:
"After meeting with Todd Blanche, I feel even more confident in urging senators to vote against his confirmation as the United States' Attorney General.
"I found him abrasive, condescending, and intentionally noncommittal to survivors — a marked contrast to his public testimony during his confirmation hearing.
"While quick to point to the failures of previous administrations, he refused to take accountability for mistakes made under his own leadership. Specifically, he would not commit to an inquiry into why my sister Maria Farmer's 1996 report went uninvestigated; he refused to release documents related to internal discussions about charging Epstein that would provide important clarification about previous errors, and his explanations for his nine-hour interview with Ghislaine Maxwell and her subsequent transfer to a less secure facility were wholly dissatisfactory and contrived.
"His evasiveness felt like a deliberate attempt to claim the Attorney General's office is powerless in this matter. By passing the buck once again, he is leaving survivors trapped in the same endless loop of searching for answers and receiving none."
far too many men are reacting to seeing themselves in rape allegations because they think "rapist" means you had to snatch a woman jogging on a trail, not that you drunkenly showed up at your girlfriend's place and ignored her protests.
