@adrianweckler Certainly agree. However, it's misleading that this is referred to as Parental Leave here. Parental Leave is unpaid which I imagine prohibits many from taking it.
Its a much different situation if an employer is paying the staff member, commendable.

@PrimEdTeacher Once the confirmation of registration is received (hopefully in 10 wks), you may then apply for a birth cert. I was advised to write down the child's details and post that in with cheque or postal order enclosed,as this would be faster than requesting via https://t.co/t1nYOwCgRJ

@PrimEdTeacher Phoned Joyce House to follow up on my emailed birth registration forms. Was advised that the wait is currently 10 weeks from receipt of application. However, the staff member explained they didn't have access to the email account, so couldn't confirm the receipt.

@gavreilly Some pregnant healthcare workers will have received the vaccine through that channel prior to the rollout by maternity hospitals so maybe overall uptake is actually somewhat higher?
