i gave codex a /goal to improve an ml training pipeline i am working on while i went for a hike.
during the hike i had an idea. which i came back and (codex) implemented and it worked to bump things up a bit.
in the meantime /goal spent $400 on modal and a lot of tokens to achieve nothing. i went through the ideas it had come up with and they were decent generic ml ideas (eg try this normalization) but terrible for the thing i was working on.
so… coding assistant? very good. even jr researcher? not yet.
I would honestly short Space X if they are going burn so many resources to build a pointless city on moon.
Space X produces useful products which generally means shorting it is a bad idea but given that they gave no indication this is for anything else than building a city.
The only way a city on the moon could work minus health risks is if it is a corporate city supplying manpower for scientific or manufacturing pursuits but they don't mention anything they will be pursing like that. Should I assume that is what they mean?
Lets be real most people are not going to want to live on the moon. So there will be very little if not no immigration. So this self growing city on the Moon is nothing more than a fantasy.
Space X will have to pay people to live on the moon.
I don’t think people realize how utterly game changing @SpaceX AI Satellites are going to be.
These Satellites will basically be NVIDIA racks out in space that are being powered 100% by the Sun, which is absolutely FREE.
Instead of using grid electricity, on-site generation, or huge amounts of power and water for cooling, the GPUs get powered and cooled 24/7 at essentially zero marginal cost.
Honestly mind-blowing
@flowersslop They are too corporate. I am trying to do a SuperApp that is sci-fi themed. If you want to, DM me what you think this futuristic design could be. Open to suggestions.
I can’t put it into perfect words but AI feels like it is incredible at “crunch datasets to draw insights” category of tasks, but it is lackluster at “come up with new ideas to execute on it” tasks
@Bowtiedplayer It is called Delusionalmaxxing and a bit of retardmaxxing. Cause you have to be a bit delusional and retarded to try stretch goals. It is much easier to just try for very attainable goals.
