Cam Schuelke pitched his first Cape League game on July 13, securing the save against Wareham. Then, he proceeded to throw five days in a row for the Ketts. Read about the pitcher’s trip from mini golf to Cotuit from @clara__richards:

Yesterday's off day profile: Some Cape League coaches use new technology for pitch calling, but Mike Roberts has opted to go old-school.
Justin Miknis and Caleb Lomavita, the two catchers for the first half of the season, have risen to the challenge.

Our writer (and photographer!) @clara__richards held down the fort last night, capturing the moment Tommy Troy belted a walk off no-doubter over the left field wall📸
Off day profile: Chris Stuart has thrown strikes on three different continents. The pitcher came to the Ketts after competing internationally for the Dutch National Team. @clara__richards with the story:

Huge day for WashU baseball.
Durbin about choosing Wash.U.: "I wanted to play because it valued winning. It was an easy choice, because the baseball was there, and the academics were there. I think it's really important to find what place is best for you."
In the spring, WashU shortstop Caleb Durbin said he thought he had a good shot of playing baseball after college. "I’m gonna put all my time and effort into it," he said. "Just try to make it happen."
Today, he was drafted by the Atlanta Braves.

Still thinking about something Jake said on Sunday: "It's like, okay, why are they putting in the work? You're not getting a scholarship. You're not paying less tuition. You're just doing it to compete and to enjoy it, and I think there's something really beautiful about that."
I drove 32-hours roundtrip from NYC to Iowa to watch three days of Division-III baseball. I wrote about why.
On the magic of D-III baseball and what makes it such a beautiful, gripping experience.
