my cousin just had to end her pregnancy at six months, and watching her walk back into a house with a half-assembled crib is the most brutal thing i've ever witnessed.
it was a deeply wanted pregnancy. they had the names picked out. but the 24-week scan showed a severe, fatal chromosome abnormality where the baby’s lungs weren't developing at all and the skull hadn't closed properly.
the doctors told them flat out that the baby would only survive for a few minutes after birth, entirely in pain, choking for air.
she had to make the most devastating decision of her life to choose a peaceful termination over a prolonged, agonizing delivery of a child that couldn't survive.
it makes me sick to my stomach seeing politicians and strangers on the internet who have never sat in a sterile hospital room listening to a fatal diagnosis talk about these procedures like they are casual, selfish choices.
nobody is doing this on a whim. it is a medical mercy, and a grieving mother deserves the right to make that call with her doctors without the entire world treating her like a criminal.
Spotted a new issue of @CosmopolitanUK@Cosmopolitan in stores and thought it was odd my issue hadn’t arrived to my door yet. Emailed two weeks ago and again today.
Spot the difference in the responses and now I’ve no idea what to believe @UkHearst

Deafening silence this evening from all the Irish influencers and beauty brands that have all closely aligned themselves with his siblings in recent years.
Keep that in mind the next time it’s trendy to pontificate to you on Instagram and TikTok about women’s rights.
Please don’t forget that Aontú was founded on the belief that women shouldn’t have the right to choose.
A vote for them is a vote against women’s rights.
Don’t allow them to drag us back to the dark ages. No preference.
As your Cork East TD, I would prioritise bringing our many vacant & derelict buildings back to life by ensuring @Corkcoco is using its legal powers & responsibilities.
I would also pursue much stronger measures at government level to address this problem.
I asked @Primark for some PJs for the people in my ward who have no family or friends to bring them in.
They wont help.
Patients don't mobilise in backless gowns and have worse health outcomes.
Anyone have suggestions for companies I should reach out to?
I had to lie on the floor to do my English A level. I was eventually diagnosed with endometriosis - a condition where my internal organs bleed every month.
The only ‘proof’ is them cutting you open and I had to wait 20 years for the NHS to do this.
