The way a culture can become so desensitized to this type of injustice is beyond me.There are countless of examples and stats on all sorts injustices out there surrounding men and women. So let's talk about them and do something about it.
okay disclaimer: this is not meant to be a dramatization of victimization but rather a way to keep conversation and the movement to emancipate women and fight of global poverty going. Education is truly such a blessing and today I am grateful for that.
MN stats from MPR:

-"Women aren't the problem but the solution. The plight of girls is no more tragedy than an opportunity"
-"you educate a boy and you're educating an individual you educate a girl and you're educating a village" African proverb
-"Women aged 15 to 44 are more likely to be maimed or die from male violence then from cancer malaria car accidents and war combined"
-"2/3 of the worlds illiterate adults are women"> a significant hurdle thats needs to be overcome to reach goal of achieving gender equality
>>started a documentary today called 'half the sky' and just want to reiterate some the quotes and stats from this book/documentary

Went to Silver Lake the other day and saw this old man drive up and take out a big bag of seed for the hungry geese. Two hurt geese limped over and got a meal for the night. This guy is my hero. #hero
