How do multiple synapses interact to modulate learning? @ejagnes & @TPVogels postulate models of “codependent” synaptic plasticity that promote rapid, multi-synaptic attainment of stable receptive fields, dendritic patterns and plausible neural dynamics

Not all vertebrates regulate their #sleep-wake rhythm in the same way. Vassilis Bitsikas @schierlab@biozentrum@UniBasel_en discovered, that some fish don’t need #orexin to stay awake. This changes our understanding of sleep regulation. @CurrentBiology https://t.co/IrlCn5XFcX
One of the things I’m most grateful for is whoever assigned the roommates, because getting to know the brilliant gem that is @grahlarvina was a truly wonderful part of #NAPainSchool 💛
More #NAPainSchool highlights because I’m (finally) going through my photos. Our patient partners @JodiLB1969 @Virginia_McI were incredibly impactful, and I’m so grateful for their insights! Also had an amazing debate team I could talk endlessly with about pain and opioids
The many faces of QST testing with @KhannaLabNYU (does this count as facial grimace? 😂)
Aside from Raj’s beautiful artwork, I’m still surprised that my sensitivity didn’t map directly onto the inflamed area!

Weeks later and I’m still reflecting on everything I learned at @NAPainSchool. One of my favorites as a preclinical researcher was the QST workshop set up by @Yenisel_CruzA…so informative! Also learned I have a robust reaction to capsaicin, so guess #HotOnes isn’t in my future😂
Can’t believe #NAPainSchool is already over and I’ve graduated from the ‘22 class! Truly one of the most formative experiences of my career. I’m so grateful for the tireless @NAPainSchool crew and awe-inspiring #NAPSters (and now life-long friends!).
Coming out of Twitter hibernation because I am SO excited to (finally!) be heading to @NAPainSchool! Very honored to be in this years class, and I cannot wait to meet everyone!
