Now is the time to let the love we claim to have be genuine, show how we can love our neighbor as ourselves, and even more so be the hands and feet of Jesus where needed. https://t.co/lVSvYwDDzO
@JackieHillPerry I was all about ice whenever I was pregnant. But I hadn't found any better than at a hospital in NC. Now I'm tempted to get ice the next time I go to a QT.
@antonia_okafor Mine are 3-4 years apart and think that’s a great age gap. When you have the next, the first is out of diapers and mobile enough to play independently, play with the little or help mommy in small ways. Also, they’re close enough to still enjoy playing together.
@JBsTwoCents If she likes to be cozy, a mermaid blanket would be fun. Or maybe some dress up clothes and jewelry to be “fancy” like Fancy Nancy or her favorite Disney princesses.
@JasmineLHolmes You were once asleep and did not see or know what was going on around you. Now that your eyes are open, you can see. (Apparently, there are other definitions too that I’ve never known to be true 🤷🏽♀️)
No one is perfect. But that’s why there’s grace. Grace makes way for that completed task or that fresh start we often become paralyzed while moving toward. And we can give it to ourselves in those everyday moments. It’s totally okay not to be SO hard on yourself. (4/4)
Had a talk with a friend today about what may be one of the most important things to know and teach children with perfectionist tendencies, especially if you have those tendencies yourself and can empathize with your kids. And it comes down to grace. (1/4)
Perfectionists can play a criticism loop or go down a shame spiral when they feel like we’ve failed or made a mistake. But it’s not healthy to stay there.(3/4)
@JBsTwoCents I do this often as a 6w5, but others find it annoying: I can obsess over the details of something so much that I come up with theories about it, research it continuously, and talk about it to anyone willing to listen. Sometimes it will be weeks before I can reign in.
