This is an absolute MUST read.

I’m so pleased the PM is better, because any and all deaths from this are a tragedy. But the news of his recovery is masking the complete failure of our government to protect us. And that’s their most important job.

[lex croucher ✨ @lexcroucher]

you're going to see a lot of people complaining about the Black Lives Matter protests today, so just a quick reminder that these protests are for -fundamental human rights- as opposed to all these people, who just fancied a day at the beach (Durdle Door, Bournemouth, Southend)

[Clare Hawkins @clareseahawk]

Fucking lunch. Seriously.

[Clare Hawkins @clareseahawk]

Can just see it now, #TheThickOfIt style:

“Oh God, our death toll’s the highest in Europe and now Hancock’s gone and done a sexism.”

“For fuck’s sake, someone better leak the shagging scientist story, and make sure everyone focuses on how married the woman is, yeah?”

[Clare Hawkins @clareseahawk]

@rhiannonlucyc 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

[Clare Hawkins @clareseahawk]

Just to caveat this, they’ve ALL massively fucked this up. Every one of them belongs under the bus, preferably one with a huge lie emblazoned on the side.

[Clare Hawkins @clareseahawk]

Are they throwing Hancock under the bus to try and save Johnson?

I can see why, quite hard to build a personality cult around any of the others.

[Jonathan Ashworth @JonAshworth]

A badge? Really a badge??

[Nick Robinson @bbcnickrobinson]

“We’ve done this right” says @realDonaldTrump at an extraordinary White House news conference at which he played a propaganda video defending his reaction to the virus he used to dismiss as like flu. This is how @cnn is covering it

[Clare Hawkins @clareseahawk]

Furious. How many decades of Tory government are we meant to endure while pathetic point-scorers from both sides of the Labour Party tear strips off one another? Internal savotage awful, but anyone who thinks that’s the only reason we lost the elections is kidding themselves.

[Clare Hawkins @clareseahawk]

I really fail to understand the pining for Corbyn that I sometimes see on here. He lost two elections, the most recent of which left us severely weakened in opposition at a time when we needed it most. Unforgivable.

[Clare Hawkins @clareseahawk]

@ayeshahazarika Best ending ever. Had to take frequent crying breaks.

[Clare Hawkins @clareseahawk]

@tweetrajouhari @GlitterCheese Just don’t watch either of the terrible movies and you’ll be fine 👌🏻

[Clare Hawkins @clareseahawk]

Very disappointed that even with all this extra time I still don’t seem to have even nearly finished blocking all the racists on twitter yet.

[GlennyRodge @GlennyRodge]

Irresponsible. If anything, they should be breaking them up.

[Clare Hawkins @clareseahawk]

@phawkins1990 Screenshotted this to send to you...

[Clare Hawkins @clareseahawk]

Nobody should be going anywhere with a fucking caravan.

[Somerset Live @SomersetLive]

MORE: Three people were arrested in connection with the crash - which left a caravan 'split open' and miles of queues #M5 #Somerset #Devon > https://t.co/aN2LkRUJja

@UberFacts Worst. Fact. Ever.

[James O'Brien @mrjamesob]

Perfectly put by ⁦@hugorifkind⁩.

I fear we’re about 24 hours away from Trump turning up outside St Thomas’ with a bucket of fried chicken and a fishing rod.
