Her name is Gina Martin. She was at a music festival in London when a man pushed his phone between her legs and took a photo under her skirt. She reported it to the police immediately.
They told her it wasn't a criminal offence. There was nothing they could do.
She went home and decided that was unacceptable. With no legal background, no political connections and no funding she launched a campaign to make upskirting a criminal offence in England and Wales. She petitioned. She lobbied MPs. She spoke publicly about what had happened to her. The government initially blocked the bill.
She kept going. The Voyeurism Act passed in January 2019. Upskirting now carries up to two years in prison. Scotland followed. Other countries are following. A woman at a festival with no lawyer, no funding and no political connections rewrote the law for an entire nation in eighteen months.

🚨THIS IS INSANE!!!

A daughter drove HUNDREDS of miles to check on her sick 75-year-old father... only to find the locks changed and a Ring camera on his door.

When she climbed through a window to reach her own dad, SHE got arrested for trespassing.

Then she was told, THROUGH THE DOORBELL, that he was no longer alive and that the NURSE who "took care of him" actually now OWNED HER DAD'S HOUSE.

This happened in Conway, South Carolina, and it will make your blood boil.

Her name is Nora Rowland.

Her dad was Robert Rowland, 75 years old and a vulnerable man living with Parkinson's and a brain injury.

Nora and her father were incredibly close. A "daddy's girl," she said. They FaceTimed every single week.

Then, in early 2024, a nurse named Sarah Smalls started caring for Robert through a home care company.

And that's when Nora says her dad started to disappear.

The weekly calls slowed. Then stopped. Something was wrong.

So on Father's Day, when she didn't hear from him, she got in her car and drove from Baltimore all the way to South Carolina to check on the man she loved.

When she got there, his front door had been replaced. A Ring camera was watching her. She couldn't get into her own father's home.

So she climbed through a window. And police arrested her and her partner for TRESPASSING... at her own dad's house.

And then, over that Ring doorbell, she was told her father had died.

Nora says that in the weeks before her father died, that nurse had the DEED to his house signed over to herself.

...and the family wasn't told until he was already gone.

To be clear... man with Parkinson's and a BRAIN INJURY, who was classified as a vulnerable adult was allowed to SIGN HIS HOME AWAY.

In Nora's own words: "He would never think that someone could do this to him. I really can't emphasize enough how many other people could easily get taken advantage of like this."

Her trespassing charges were dismissed, s now she's fighting in court to get her father's house back.

The nurse refused to comment. The care company claimed they knew nothing, but Nora says she has subpoenaed documents proving otherwise.

Police are still investigating.

With respect, she needs to stop. National Cleaning Day should stay voluntary.
We pay taxes. Those taxes are supposed to fund waste collection, dustbins, drainage, and a functioning sanitation system. If government cannot do that job, the answer is not to drag people out of their houses on Saturday and threaten four months in community service for sleeping.
People get sick. People rest. People work Monday to Friday. Last Saturday is not community-service hour because this Minister should do her photo-ops and leave us alone. These government Officials still enjoy salaries, convoys, and perks funded by the same taxpayers they now want to conscript into free labour
I don’t see them inviting us to enjoy in their luxurious salaries and perks

I clean where I live. That is my responsibility. Public roads and dumps are government’s responsibility. Forcing citizens to clean up after other people’s dirt, because the state will not put bins or collect waste properly, is not civic duty. It’s just dumping failure onto the public.

And these threats are harmful . A boda rider was killed today during enforcement of this same exercise. That is what happens when ministers talk like non-participation is a crime and officers treat the national cleaning day morning like a lockdown.

Cleanliness is good. Forced labour is not. Participate if you want. Stay home if you don’t. She needs to shut up about jailing people over a cleaning exercise that should be voluntary

This is misconduct.

Officers in uniform entered a pharmacy and forced a sick woman waiting for medicine to clean. Patients seeking treatment are exempt. That is not the law. That is intimidation.
@PoliceUg , Section 70 of the Police Act allows the public to report oppression and misconduct by your officers. Use it. Hold these men accountable.
This will not be allowed to pass as enforcement. Take action now.
