"Texas is being punished for scheduling Ohio State ...the committee is telling us...that they should not have played that game and they should have played Texas State and won the game by 20"
Steve Sarkisian on @SXMCollege this morning:
"Why did we even play Ohio State? If we are a 10-2 team right now that played 4 top 10 opponents, we are ranked 6th in the country and not even having this discussion.
So why the hell am I going to play that game next year?"
In the last 5 months Texas has:
-Joined Texas A&M’s conference
-Hired away their baseball coach
-Beat A&M at Kyle Field
-Clinched a berth in the SEC title game in their first year when A&M still has 0 title game appearances
When the Dallas Mavericks acquired Kyrie Irving, people were skeptical.
Not because of the skillset, but more so because of the personality. Often a controversial figure, but always misunderstood.
Dallas took him in and allowed him to work on himself and more importantly,
be himself.
"Kyrie will ruin that team."
"Kyrie and Luka will never work."
"Dallas made a mistake."
Ever since arriving, Kyrie has believed in himself but has never been about himself.
He has uplifted the end-of-the-bench guys, the rookies, and even Luka Doncic.
Luka has taken on an even bigger role and has made everyone around him better.
An MVP finalist and a bonafide superstar, he has shown the world how tough he can be despite injuries, setbacks, and everything thrown at him on the floor.
From the management, the role players, to the rest of the staff, truly a total team effort.
An 11th seed a season ago, rapidly falling out of the playoff race, to a 50-win team and now back in the Western Conference Finals.
They didn't believe in the vision.
They didn't believe in the team.
They didn't believe in the duo.
As Kyrie said after Game 6, "Job's not finished but let's enjoy this one."
