November is American Indian and Alaskan Native Heritage Month. We celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of these communities. Perhaps a less known fact: This month was designated in 1990 by President George H. W. Bush.

It's never to early to start spreading some holiday cheer! October 13-19, On Spot Nutrition is donating $1 from every drink sold to support Clarke's annual Thanksgiving Dinner for students unable to travel for the holidays.
Technically Banned Books Week is October 5-11, but we really love getting this display up just a little bit before for everyone to enjoy. Banned Books Week raises awareness about censorship, defends the freedom to read, drawing attention to challenges against books in libraries.
Hispanic/Latina/Latino Heritage Month begins in September, featuring titles such as The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo, The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros, and movies such as Coco, Frida, and In The Heights.
Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Heritage Month is typically celebrated in May( to give this display a bit more time being seen by folks, we slide it in to the start of the academic year). It recognizes their histories, cultures, and contributions.
