Chris Van Hollen has a daughter named Anna whose name still appears on the directory of staff at the US State Department where she is listed as a SENIOR ADVISOR and Speechwriter.

Financial records obtained by @LoomerUnleashed reveal as of 10/28/2024, Anna Van Hollen was still employed at the State Department.

According to a bio for Anna on The Asia Group, an American strategic advisory firm based in Washington D.C., providing consulting services to companies looking to expand into the Asia-Pacific region, Anna Van Hollen served in the Biden-Harris admin as a Senior Advisor to the US Deputy Secretary of State. Prior to that, Anna served as a Director for International Economics at the U.S. National Security Council and the National Economic Council, and as an International Affairs Fellow with the Council on Foreign Relations.

Before entering government, Anna built and led the Policy Planning team at Meta (Facebook). Earlier in her career, she held several Chief of Staff roles at Meta and worked as a freelance journalist in the Middle East with the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting.

Her affinity to the Middle East could explain why her father is so sympathetic to the jihadi students who are having their visas revoked and are being deported by Marco Rubio at the State Department, where Anna may still work in secrecy.

Additional records uncovered by @LoomerUnleashed prove that during her time in college, Anna supported Palestinian activities on campus, which provides further insight into why her father Senator @ChrisVanHollen has opposed the Trump administration’s deportation of Palestinian jihadi students like Mahmoud Khalil, who participated in pro-Hamas protests and was detained by ICE.

Chris Van Hollen, on multiple occasions, has used his daughter as a signer for his public political messaging, which he has posted on his Facebook.

Perhaps the real reason why Senator Van Hollen regrets voting for @marcorubio as Secretary of State is because his daughter is either still working at the State Department pushing open borders, OR she was FIRED by President Trump’s new Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that Anna Van Hollen is a member of the 2025 Washington China Forum, where she is listed with Alex Wong, the recently fired former Deputy NSC Advisory under @MikeWaltz47 and current NSC Asia Director Ivan Kanapathy, who was supposed to be fired in April.

There is nothing online confirming Anna Van Hollen’s departure from the US State Department.

If she is still working there, she should immediately be fired by @SecRubio.

It’s pretty obvious why Chris Van Hollen *actually* resents Rubio.

Perhaps he only voted for him to pass his Senate confirmation hearing as a way to secure job security for his daughter Anna.

If she was fired, maybe that’s the *real reason* why Senator Van Hollen now suddenly regrets his vote for Rubio as Secretary of State.
