@BlueJays I hope I've just watched the last pitch by Hoffman in a Blue Jays shirt......I will take the defeat tonight if that is the end result. Long term gain in the end.
@Number10cat I always thought that a cat having nine lives was just a myth...but so far Larry is on 6 (Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss, Sunak, Starmer)...likely be Rayner (7) by spring....then Burnham (8) - if allowed to stand in a by-election. Maybe setting up a final showdown with Farage(9)
@nobigfish@RachelReevesMP Given that RR needs to bring in as much money as possible,is now the time for her to actually look at attractive settlement rates that makes most think 'OK not what I wanted but at least it's done & I can move on'. At present RR getting no money,so is some money better than none
@DanNeidle Surely all this will benefit is house Sellers downsizing. As the market will get a boost, driving up prices that outstrip the Stamp Duty + more. Leaving taxman with less income and buyers paying more. Only winners mortgage free house owners (mmm who do they vote for??)
@HCsick@sussexlc@rexgold@Conservatives All this Tory policy will do is push up house prices,so those already owning a house get the gain and those buying are probably pay more overall. With austerity being required to fund it. I wonder what type of voter might own a house and be glad to more money for a house they own
@gregwrightYP They say a picture is worth a 1000 words...well this does. You've got two people in middle rows having a chat, young lady at back row (despite many seats in front being available) on phone & someone towards middle right scratching their head. Says it all really.
@gregwrightYP@gregwrightYP if review is to be published before end of year, does this mean government response will be next year & not in Autumn budget as expected in the review ToR? +Maybe on a positive note, if taking longer to produce does it mean review is not pre-written as some feared?
@BlueJays@27vladdyjr@andresgimenez Morning from London UK, been great to watch Blue Jays this season and let's hope it continues well into October. Been to Skydome/Rogers centre many times now, first was in July 1992...what a year to visit. Planning on being back in 2026, hopefully to see the current champions.
@Partimepolitico@CommonsTreasury In the reply from the secretary he says"HMRC Officials do not recognise the allegation that HMRC agreed deals with large employers allowing them to settle disguised remuneration liabilities for less than was legally due." so HMRC saying that Ray McCann lied? #loanchargescandal
