In 1945 the USS Indianapolis secretly delivered the parts for the atomic bomb that would hit Hiroshima.

Days later, mission done, a Japanese submarine put two torpedoes into her. She sank in 12 minutes.

Nearly 900 men made it off the ship alive and into the open ocean. Then it got worse.

No one knew they were missing. Three separate Navy stations picked up the distress signals and every one of them ignored it. One officer thought it was a Japanese trap. Another had ordered not to be disturbed.

So the men floated. For almost five days. No food, no fresh water, burning by day and freezing at night. Some drank seawater and went insane. And the whole time, the sharks were circling and feeding. It is considered the worst shark attack in human history.

When rescue finally came by accident, only 316 of the nearly 1,200 crew were still alive.

The Navy needed someone to blame for the disaster. They chose Captain Charles McVay, one of the men who survived it. He became the only U.S. captain in the entire war to be court-martialed for losing his ship to the enemy.

At his trial the Navy did something almost unheard of. They brought in the Japanese commander who sank the ship to testify against him. Instead, the enemy captain told the court that zigzagging would have made no difference and that McVay did nothing wrong.

They convicted him anyway.

For years afterward McVay got hate mail from the families of the dead. Some sent letters every Christmas telling him he murdered their sons. In 1968 he walked onto his front lawn and shot himself, holding a toy sailor he had kept since he was a boy.

Case closed. For fifty years.

Then in 1996 an 11-year-old named Hunter Scott watched Jaws with his dad and got hooked on the 30 second speech about the Indianapolis. He made it his sixth grade history project.

He tracked down and interviewed nearly 150 survivors. He dug through more than 800 documents. And buried in there he found what the Navy had left out, including that they knew enemy subs were operating right on the ship's route and never warned McVay.

A kid's school project turned into a national story. It reached Congress. In 2000 lawmakers passed a resolution clearing McVay's name and President Clinton signed it. The Navy officially cleared his record in 2001.

The captain the Navy spent decades blaming was finally exonerated by a sixth grader.

Hunter Scott grew up and became a naval flight officer.

It’s been early a year since all hell broke loose at the University of Arizona when I questioned how my department head had been elected to serve when she was not in fact eligible to be a department head per the University’s own rules. According to University’s rules, department heads must be full professors. At the time, this person was still an associate professor.

Instead of showing me how I was wrong or that I had somehow misread the policy I cited in an email to about forty colleagues in an email, my head, a Hispanic female, tried to get a protective order issued by the campus police against me and suspend my email privileges. My Dean had me removed from all email lists, forbade me from attending faculty meetings, and prohibited me from communicating with students. My head claimed I had sent a sexist and toxic email discussing personnel issues to a wide audience that had triggered communal trauma about a campus shooting three years earlier. I’m surprised I was not accused of being a racist to boot.

A little less than a month after writing this email about DEI corruption, I was facing dismissal from my tenured position.

A year later, no one had been able to refute what I argued based on facts and policies. The expectation (usually enforced) that no would object to the DEI appointment and just play along was breached. When I did not play along, the floodgates opened and I was placed on administrative leave.

DEI dogma has created the conditions to frame challenges to it as excludable campus threats. College campuses are no longer places of learning, reflection, and debate. They are first and foremost playgrounds for advancing administrative careers, enabling virtue-signaling faculty to pretend they are important, and a waste of student and taxpayer dollars.

Last week, an agent in our office walked across the street to grab lunch.

While he was waiting at the crosswalk, a homeless woman illegally crossed the street and started walking toward him.

He could tell she was clearly tweaked out, so he stepped aside and turned to let her pass.

Then she grabbed him by the shirt and started attacking him.

With only a hydro flask in hand, he hits her on the head. She barely notices and continues attacking him repeatedly.

He continues to fight back until she finally lets go. She then starts screaming at him and threatening his life.

This didn't happen on Skid Row, it happened at 2:30 PM in broad daylight in Encino, CA - one of the more affluent areas in LA.

After the homeless lady finally walks away, still screaming to herself, he calls the police.

He then proceeds to sit there for an hour waiting. The police never come.

At 9:30 PM, 7 hours after the incident, the police call and say they've arrived.

By now he's home, the attacker is miles away, and realizing the futility of his efforts, he doesn't open an investigation.

This crime now goes unreported and LA politicians can tout that crime has decreased.

This is the reality of what it's like living in LA. Stories like this are not uncommon.

Thankfully this agent was able to go home to his family after this, with only a crazy story to tell and nothing worse.

But imagine if she had a needle in her hand when she hit him, or a knife.

Crime in LA has not gone down, no matter what they try to tell you, it's just extremely underreported by worn out citizens in a broken system that needs a complete overhaul.

On behalf of the largest police news outlet in the world, we're officially calling for the resignation or termination of this officer IMMEDIATELY.

A female Fort Worth police officer was caught on camera threatening to ticket a retired federal law enforcement officer and Christian street preacher for “offensive speech.”

The officer told the man that if someone is offended by his preaching, then “we have a problem” and said she would issue him a ticket. When he asked if she was really going to ticket him for offensive speech, she replied, “Yes, I am.”

This is a blatant violation of the First Amendment. Police officers do not have the authority to ticket people for speech that offends others. That is the exact opposite of how freedom of speech works in America.

The fact that this officer targeted a retired federal law enforcement officer who was simply preaching makes this even more unacceptable.

Departments that employ officers who openly disregard the Constitution need to clean house. This kind of behavior erodes public trust and makes every good officer’s job harder.

Pass this along so more people see what is happening on our streets.

Today's birthright citizenship ruling by the Supreme Court is the most egregious, lawless violation of our most crucial sovereign power as American citizens:

There is no chance in hell we fought a civil war and enacted the 14th amendment to give birthright citizenship to the kids of birth tourists, terrorists, human traffickers, temporary visitors, and other illegals.

Airbnb sent an email with threats to a user that they will delete their Airbnb account unless he deletes a video he posted about one of his stays

This man rented an Airbnb. After leaving, the Host generated fake cleaning invoices using AI of fake companies. They then claimed to make payments fake payments to them for cleaning services after his stay, and wanted reimbursement

But it was all fake. So he made a post warning others not to stay there, the host has a criminal record and what how they generate fake cleaning bills with AI and want reimbursements

Airbnb took action against him, not the Host, saying he couldn’t post all this publicly available info and to delete the video or they will delete his account

Stop using Airbnb

He even provided Airbnb with proof the invoices were fake and AI-generated, photos disputing the damage claims and the host’s public criminal history and Airbnb still didn’t care
