I no longer have Tinubu trolls attacking me every other minute as I did when I first started writing about Nigerian affairs . Instead they rant . They tell me how royal they are . They write in detail about their brilliance and how their uncle was this and their grandfather did that in some obscure hellhole I have never heard of . Their spelling is terrible . Their grammar is a serious eyesore .

Of course they would not be trolls without a few insults . But the insults are not to support their political boss . It is to show how their uncle despises people like me but wishes it was him writing from his seventeenth century chateau in France . They always end with — I am not jealous of you . Who are you . You are a nobody . My father was the chief of … and then they start again with more irrelevant gibberish before signing off . No mention of Tinubu who paid them to abuse me . No mention of economic policy or political plans . Just a badly written rant from a man crying out for help .
My people I have learnt so much from exposing myself to the Nigerian public . How Nigerians think . Feel . Absorb . React . And attack .

These days the depression is so serious it is the attack mode that is dominating the Nigerian people .

One major point of hatred is that I do not live in Nigeria . This mortal sin makes me irrelevant . Not knowing what I am talking about . It eradicates my many years of living and working in Nigeria . It makes me Kio Amachree a foreigner .

God forbid I mention my late father again — they will lynch me . But that is my fault . I shoved it down everyone’s throat to restore his legacy which was buried . History seems to make Nigerians bitter . They have been conditioned to pass over their rich history . To cast it aside for a night of free food and drink and a few thousand naira notes courtesy of men like Wike .

They like men like Wike . They love the noise the arrogance and the power he has . The fact that one of their own can accumulate so much money from a government job without going to jail . Men like me that take the long path — you know read your books pass your exams work hard in life — we are too Oyinbo . Too much grammar . Boring . Not naija enough .

It has been my relentless onslaught . My daily crusade to rock the boat . To expose the government the leadership . Sometimes twice a day . Articles that make sense that are detailed written with passion with honesty . That broke down the barrier . Stopped most of the abuse . The question became — what does this Amachree man want . And the constant response — nothing . Absolutely nothing . But to see Nigerians happy the way they once were . When the oil boom was in full swing . When the cost of filling your car was twenty naira for a full tank . When the car you drove cost no more than five thousand naira straight from the showroom . When the ticket to New York was twelve hundred naira round trip and visa free to London .

That is all he asks . For his people to love Nigeria again .
