@_CodyHawken@goodgirlfaith3 Actually glad to see you rising above this tbh she wants the reaction and that’s clear, just sad she’s profiting off the relationship w you and exploiting it a little tbh says more about her than you and I was a fan of her until this, hearing how she speaks about u is gross.
@Christo47585208@Eilis2021@missmongrel25 On second thoughts actually, it clearly does resemble a slash hook with a shorter blade than a ‘gArDeN sCytHe’ not to mention either way he’s brandishing a weapon in an attempt to intimidate.
Unpopular opinion:Stop giving out about the #FuelProtests.🚛 Yes, the traffic is a nightmare, but these drivers are fighting for everyone struggling with €2+ a litre at the pumps. If it was your job or livelihood on the line, you’d want the support too. ⛽️#Ireland#DublinTraffic
@pl_european@PaulTreyvaud Do you think it’s justifiable to send in the army when a phone call and agreement to meet with a nominated rep from each sector could have solved this on Tuesday? You realise the goverment will do this to you next with whatever it is you deem worthy of protesting?
@PaulTreyvaud This Government has severed every last shred of connection to the people of Ireland. When a Government would rather send in the army rather than negotiate with peaceful protestors and struggling families , it is a tyrannical dictatorship not a democracy
@kev_tbay@PaulTreyvaud No because this is going to happen anyway because they can’t afford to keep the delivery trucks which is the point of the protest in the first place. Jesus ye city ones haven’t a bloody clue about tertiary activities- ye literally think food just appears in cafes
Taoiseach, Micheal Martin thinks the protesters are wrong because he knows everything, well the government got it very wrong with the Referendums in 2024, he complains that the protesters are preventing mobility when he and his government placed the harshest lockdowns on its people in 2020 and 2021, he states that the protesters are preventing people from accessing livelihoods, when he and his government shut down tens of thousands of businesses in 2020 and 2021, some never recovered, but the icing on the cake is he states that the protesters prevented people from attending medical appointments, when he and his government cancelled medical appointments for almost two years.
Hypocrisy! I can’t understand how he is still the leader of Fianna Fáil.
They make this new pension plan sound like they are doing you a favour, and there’s nothing further from the truth. It’s a TAX, and nothing more. Remember, they think we are all stupid, and paid spin experts tell them how to word these videos, which might actually be believed by a lot of people.
So let’s break down this new TAX bolloxology.
(1) The main reason for all this is that the population is getting older because this bunch of clowns have made it unaffordable to have children, and we are now below replacement level. In 20 years, there won’t be enough young people working to pay enough tax for the State pension.
(2) They know they won’t have enough money for a State pension in 20 years, so they want you and your employer to pay for it, while they only have to pay a small percentage, which they can recoup through clever investment over the years. Meanwhile, we are throwing money around the world like it’s Smarties, with a so-called loan to Ukraine from the EU costing about €2.5 billion, and all the other money we send off to make politicians look good to their wanker buddies in the EU.
(3) They want employers to match your investment, and if they don’t, they will be fined and penalised. Where do they think small businesses are going to get this money from? This part seems very unclear.
(4) You have no choice and will be auto-enrolled from January 1st, and you can’t leave for at least six months. Your employer has no choice and must match your investment.
All because these wankers can’t manage money and won’t have enough in 20 years for a pension pot for an ageing population.
Essentially, they want you to pay your own State pension. They’re not saying that yet, but it’s coming in the years ahead.
It’s a tax on you and your employer. You are already paying PAYE and PRSI, and your employer already pays their contributions, but for a government that can’t manage money, this still isn’t enough they want more to cover their incompetence in running an economy.
@EleanorCou61406@paulnolan19164 Great bit of victim blaming- get a grip will you statements like this are the reason families ridden with abuse and toxicity don’t speak out. Why shouldn’t people ask for support when they need it?? Why would anyone begrudge that support??
