We had an amazing morning with the author and artist James Mayhew. He told us fantastic stories which he drew a sketch of and then painted with colours.

Another exciting and active day! On Wednesday we had a dance workshop with Lanes Academy.

Class 2 have been learning about evergreen and deciduous trees. We looked at trees in the playground and then on Monday we went to the rec to identify trees there. We found there were a lot of deciduous trees but not so many evergreen!

We’ve had a busy first day back. As part of our plants topic we have planted sunflower seeds in pots, planted wild flower seeds in the courtyard and drawn beautiful chalk pictures of daisies.

We had a fun ‘airport morning’ making our passports, having our bags x-rayed, listening to the safety instructions and then meeting the pilot.

Lily the rabbit came to visit Class 2 today. Everyone was so quiet, calm and sensible she even had a relaxing lie down! We have learnt a lot about looking after a pet rabbit, ready for our writing next week.
