Today we observed Remembrance Day. We learnt how to place events on a timeline, painted pointillism poppies, learnt about The Treaty of Versailles and crafted our own poppies.
We also held a 2 minutes silence, which the children participated in beautifully! @stmarysderby
This week the children in Class 5 have innovated the story of Little Red Riding Hood, by editing their story maps. It was also lovely to hear all of the things that make them feel happy, when we talked about mental health earlier in the week! @stmarysderby
This week in Class 5, we have been been learning the story of Little Red Riding Hood, and have created some wonderful story maps. We have made actions to help us to learn the story, and have enjoyed creating actions to help us to retell the story. @stmarysderby
We have had an amazing week so far in Class 5. We have learnt about the Creation story, and in English, have practised our handwriting, and written basic sentences, using Full stops and capital letters! Great work everyone. @stmarysderby
We have had a very special visitor today to talk to us about our new school landscape, linked to our Science topic of Plants. We can't wait to take our learning outside when we get to our new build.We thank Laura for her time and resources shared with us. @SRSCMAT@stmarysderby
