Can Judges participate in elections?
With the upcoming FUTASU elections, I am compelled to address this question often raised by concerned Futarians.
Upon critically analyzing this question, it is evident that the question stems from the understanding that judges are apolitical
a stance that judges are prohibited from holding public office or engaging in partisan politics, as this could create a conflict of interest and undermine public trust in their ability to impartially administer justice.
As a Senior Justice in FUTASU Judicial Council, I will be entering school with my Student Identity Card to exercise my right to vote as a financial and concerned member of the union. I admonish everyone to enjoy their rights by casting their vote in the election.

Nevertheless, as citizens of the country, judges do have the right to vote in elections and choose any candidate of their preference, as long as they are not actively participating in the political process, JUDGES CAN ONLY VOTE DURING ELECTION
This restriction is further reinforced by
• the Judicial Council's Code of Conduct for Judicial Officers, which explicitly prohibits political involvement for judges
• the constitutional provisions that ensure the independence of the judiciary
• general ethical guidelines
