With huge enthusiasm, our intrepid adventurers threw themselves into learning how to fight like a Gladiator at the @Gru_Sto_Romano Gladiator School. An enormously enjoyable and energetic end to our Italian sojourn!

Night is falling in Rome. We've squeezed every last drop out of the Eternal City today. On the Capitoline Hill we had another wonderful view of the Forum to end the day. Tomorrow, we round off our time in Italy with a visit to The Vatican.

It's been an action packed day in Roma! Trajan's Column and The Pantheon under out belt now and many wishes made in the Trevi Fountain, along with a number of questionable renditions of a certain Sinatra song.

Wonderful start to our first full day in #Florence. Ms O'Neill showed us the famous east doors of the Baptistry of St John by Lorenzo Ghiberti and then on to the Galleria dell'accademia for Michaelangelo's David.

What a day in Florence! After a quick visit to Santa Croce to see the tombs of Rossini, Machiavelli and Michelangelo, we're off to the Palazzo Medici Riccardi, where Mr McAuley is reminding us about the history of the Medicis, to finish up for the day.
