@alexthechick “Why are you using the Bible to object to *my* thing and not these other things that *I* object to?” “Why aren’t you applying your religion (which I don’t believe) the way I want you to?” Tedious.
This is outrageous, we all know that being an Italian is a great honor, but being a Sicilian, like Luigi Mangione, of course, is absolutely a moral limitation and mental disability. Nothing good happens below Rome.
@johnfgately So, she messed up her job and they didn't say, go back and do it over? Why would this not be a surefire method of tanking any and all questions? I don't understand.
You can even be the most powerful man in the world, but when a 5’4” Italian woman raises her little finger and gestures like that, you definitely have to listen to her 🤣
Giorgia Meloni epic with Donald Trump 🇮🇹🤌🇺🇸
Remember that veteran with a carry permit who helped prevent a mass shooting in Cambridge?
Looks like he was the first person to confront the gunman but quickly expended all of his ammo in the gunfight due to the state's magazine capacity limits.

@xnoesbueno A (vulnerable) woman who no longer wanted to be a woman, who was recovering from surgery, yes. Allegedly. Wouldn’t be the first time a man with NPD was abusive, if true.
It’s still a straight couple, just with extra steps.
When the sundowning starts, and she is looking for the other person, the one who was just here, or went upstairs, or who is supposed to be here, who is it?
It is part of our routine now. I think I’m starting to believe there is another presence.
Maybe I need to for my own sake.
The Malden River today. One of the greater Boston area rivers that just stops. It used to run into Malden Center and was a tidal marsh like the nearby Mystic. It’s now a freshwater river and home to the Tufts Boathouse.
Show your work. Also, you know that once you do this, the money is gone forever? So what happens after the fictional 26 years are up? You no your allies said you want no more Elons, right? After you pull your money tree up by the roots, where do you go next time?
(BTW Still waiting on you lowering the cable TV bills, Ed.)
Marriage Pro Tip: Pay attention to when your spouse does little things like this to upset you. "Keep score," if you will. Keep a score for yourself too, for whenever you're thoughtful and self-sacrificing. That way, if you're ever arguing, you can pull out the scores, show your spouse that yours is higher, and win the argument on the spot! You'll also have hard proof that you're the better spouse
This is the former Star Market on Broadway in Somerville, near Winter Hill. It has been closed for nearly 18 years. While the Winter Hill gang was operating out of the Marshall St garage nearby, I was getting lost here. Scared me (and Dad) half to death.
Bulger, I learned, was of Newfoundland Irish descent. This was not uncommon. My grandfather was as well.
This is in Winter Hill., of Bulger and Obama fame.
The Somerville Journal used to run a voice mail reader feature called Speak Out.
About ~2000-2002 (?) or so I recall reading a Speak Out contributor who said she was new to Somerville and was distressed to learn that there was a gang in Winter Hill. She further wanted to know if anyone was doing anything about it.
For all its faults, Somerville still has these wonderful Italianate row houses, c. 1889. Reminds me of the pictures of the Maritime cities I've seen. Mom "lived" in one of them in order to play softball for another parish.
Now they are million dollar homes.

@Legal_Fil Taxes are still lower than surrounding towns but a lot of older owners are locked in.
The gentrification started when the Red Line arrived and never really let up, even in 08. Now with the Green Line, it's unlikely to slow down.

@Legal_Fil The listing I found for one of them has the exposed brick walls in the interior. I'm sure there must have been more of this style at one time. It has such nice details, too.

Limited exposure, but this GenXer has found that self-published fiction needs . . . editors! Setting is a character of its own. You don't have to spend hours in a library researching all of these details anymore—it's so much easier to get the little things right.
It's crept into TV as well, even the old reliable British period dramas. (A recently-widowed late Victorian woman would not be wearing that brightly colored dress.)
can we talk about how historical romances are almost unreadable now cause they’re written with the 21st century mentality. why is ur female lead talking exactly like a contemporary girlboss & facing no period accurate backlash…go write that office romance & put the corsets down
