@vswitchzero@OldTechAdverts@SplAdamSage That was my modem! The display flashed the negotiated protocols being used: baud rate (144/96/48/24/12), LP (LAPM), and one or two others. Was great when running a bbs I could tell who was connected from across the room based on their modem’s capabilities.
@PobrePelota @BrentToderian@Pointe_Claire All the crossings of the 40 in Pte-Claire (Sources, St-Jean, St-Charles) are the same car-only design. Have been like that for decades. Need to go to ch. Ste-Marie for a chance. The 20 has far more options. It’s really shameful.
@vswitchzero The 386/25 was a little more affordable then. The /33 was out and the 486dx/33 was the high end. 386sx/16 had the low cost market. Think this was a few months before I got mine. 286 was pretty much done in by 386sx.
@vswitchzero Here’s the full build for it ;) I upgraded from my monochrome XT with no HDD to this. 28ms HD was a selling point. It couldn’t quite hit 1MB/sec on benchmarks.
