hi friends,
in a sub optimal start to 2023, I have primary breast cancer.
I’ve written the long version here https://t.co/ZnjR8ENuwm but in short:
I require the full shebang: chemo, surgery, radiotherapy, hormone treatment.
I don’t come here anymore, but just checking in to say I recently marked 3 years since a nasty stage 3 grade 3 bilateral breast cancer diagnosis and I’m still kicking! And getting married in September 🥰
shout out to anyone going thruuuu it atm. keep keepin on ✌️
So long, Twitter/X - we're leaving 👋
It’s a sad end, but we have been asking ourselves how we can say we are a values-led organisation whilst using a platform that promotes irresponsible content and hateful behaviour.

For many of our staff, creatives and audiences, today will be a low day following the news from America and what it means for ourselves and the world - we are sending everyone love if you need it.
honestly I’m not scared of dying.
I’m scared of potentially KNOWING how I’m going to die and when.
the breathtaking project management of it all.
the short time I thought I was stage 4 was a horror I never want to experience again - but I might.
this is hard 😔
.@CatVideoFest is coming to Bristol! We are hosting two dates in December. Enjoy 73 minutes of non-stop silly cat videos AND raise money for @Bristol_ARC! Who's in?

@RE_McGEE I also try to make that 30 minutes enjoyable. so have a shower, go for a short walk, listen to a podcast or read, instead of seeing it as a chore and inconvenience. try to make it a pleasure and time for yourself.
@RE_McGEE I have the tablet. everything is grand. all my instructions say half an hour not an hour, it’s fine, I take it before going in the shower. I think it’s generally agreed 30mins is fine!
@RE_McGEE I have the Leuprorelin injection instead and get on well with it… I wonder if that would be an option for you if you are suffering with zoladex?
18 things real #breastcancer patients wish you knew. Sadly, five contributors for this piece have since died from MBC. BC is not the good cancer & is still too often deadly. THAT is what I want people to know. https://t.co/dYLBxMsIoo #bcsm#BreastCancerAwarenessMonth#MetsMonday
@Mangledpolitics@ThanksCancer day of surgery, when the cancer was removed from my body. everything else systemic treatment designed to hopefully stop it coming back.
