@AmericanAir This was the response I received from @AmericanAir, the largest airline in the world, who refuses to reimburse us the additional $37 to cover the full cost of our one-night stay at a 3-star hotel we booked only b/c the vouchered hotel had no vacancy after our flight cancellation.
I had a series of bad experiences with @AmericanAir this summer. The latest is their refusal to reimburse the full amount of our 1-night stay at a 3-star Atlanta airport hotel after our flight cancellation b/c the contracted rate is $106.17. No hotel in the area offers that rate.
While at @VATampa, 9/11 survivor and Veteran Greg Amira saw something that caught his eye. It was a banner for the “Million Veteran Program.” That day he became the 900,000th Veteran to join VA’s largest research program ever.

Nearly 400K Veterans were part of the largest genetic study on #heartdisease, published this week by @VAPaloAlto researchers. Thanks to these Vets, and VA’s #MillionVeteranProgram, we’re closer to predicting and preventing this deadly disease.

DYK? 1 in 5 deaths are linked to #heartdisease in the US. But thanks to #Veterans in VA’s #MillionVeteranProgram, and our researchers at Palo Alto, we now understand the genetics of this disease better than ever before. See our latest discoveries here: https://t.co/3dhOiiwFGO
On July 28, we cut the ribbon on a New Basic Science Research Center to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among world-class researchers, reinforcing VAPAHCS as one of the top three research programs in VHA. View photos on Flickr: https://t.co/BNgyRb19KE
A street inside New York City’s only Army base will soon bear the name of First Lt. John Earl Warren Jr., a Black officer who died saving others in Vietnam — instead of the name of the Confederate general who led the South’s attempt at secession. https://t.co/GNhn27ZHi4
@SixtUSA we rented a car that is having mechanical issues but there’s no phone number to call the local DFW Sixt rental office. How can we exchange our car?
@SixtUSA We were very disappointed in our recent experience with Sixt. I sent an email the same day as my tweet (5/5) that we were experiencing mechanical issues with no way to contact the company. Just today I received a response, five days after we returned our rental.
My Grand Dad had a subscription until his passing day today. He found comfort in reading the @dallasnews, even from his hospital bed. Would you help us feature his life of public service and philanthropy in Dallas? Nothing would have brought him more joy ❤️🙏
My grandfather passed today. He was a lifelong public servant in his beloved Dallas—served on City Council, hospital boards, school districts, the list goes on. He read the @dallasnews nearly every day of his life. Even paid for college at @UTAustin by selling subscriptions.
