Updating liability rules to the digital age protects the rights of those harmed by AI systems + encourages AI developers to make their products safer. More needs to be done though:
5/3⃣ Covering immaterial+societal harms is necessary to account for the particular nature of damages caused by AI systems. To ensure that those harmed by AI systems are equally protected no matter which EU country they live in, these damages should be defined by EU law.
