“The one who’s in love always wins. It doesn’t matter if you get your heart broken, you’re living. When you’re feeling, you’re alive. The sun doesn’t care whether the grass appreciates its rays, it just keeps on shining..."
7 things I'd like to experience atleast once:
a surprise birthday party
"it's you, it's always been you."
drunk confession
running into someone's arms
01:48 of champagne coast
being in someone's wallet
kiss in the rain
dear, the only way to heal your inner child is to embrace that little lonely kid; the whimsy, passions, goals, love, all that the wonder they used to have. That child is waiting for you to hold them again
“Lately I’ve been thinking about who I want to love, and how I want to love, and why I want to love the way I want to love, and what I need to learn to love that way, and who I need to become to become the kind of love I want to be…and when I break it all down, when I whittle it into a single breath, it essentially comes out like this: Before I die, I want to be somebody’s favorite hiding place, the place they can put everything they know they need to survive, every secret, every solitude, every nervous prayer, and be absolutely certain I will keep it safe. I will keep it safe.”
— Andrea Gibson
“Love will not save you. But it will hold your hand while you save yourself. And in a world that sometimes seems devoid of goodness, in a world that sometimes feels too heavy to bear, I think that is all we are really searching for. Someone by our side. Someone who grounds us. Someone who will quietly hug us for twenty minutes straight while we figure it all out. I think that is all anyone really needs. Someone who sees them. Someone who stays.” - Bianca Sparacino
Tale of Cinema (2005)
Because love was never the ONLY thing that made relationships work.
I know that sounds harsh, but hear me out. Love is like having diesel in the car. You need it, obviously. But diesel doesn’t teach you how to drive. It doesn’t tell you where to go. It doesn’t stop you from crashing when you’re both yanking the wheel in opposite directions.
Two people can love each other wildly, desperately and still want completely different lives. One person wants kids yesterday, the other one never. One person heals by talking everything to death, the other one needs silence to survive. Love doesn’t fix that. It just makes it hurt more.
And sometimes people love each other but they’re both too broken in ways that fit together wrong. Like puzzle pieces that jam into each other but don’t actually connect. You ever seen two anxious people try to reassure each other? Or two avoidant people wait for the other one to reach out first? That’s not a love problem. That’s a math problem. The equation doesn’t work no matter how much you want it to.
Then there’s timing, which is maybe the cruelest part. You can meet the right person when you’re the wrong version of yourself. When you’re still figuring out who you are, or you’re buried in grief, or you’re so scared of being hurt that you hurt them first just to control when it happens. And they can love you through all of that and it still won’t be enough because you’re not ready to be loved like that yet. You’re fighting ghosts they can’t see.
So when two people love each other that much and it doesn’t work? It’s not because the love was fake. It’s because love was doing all the work it could do, and it still wasn’t enough to carry everything else that was broken, mismatched, or mistimed.
And that might be the saddest part. That you can love someone with everything you have and still have to walk away. Not because you stopped loving them. But because you finally loved yourself enough to admit that love alone was never going to be enough.
If we are dating, I want to be your 2nd priority. I want your 1st priority to be you. Your dreams, your growth, your future. I'll stand beside you, not in your way. I'll push you to be better, not pull you back. Love isn't about losing yourself. It's about finding more of who you're meant to be, TOGETHER.
