Grateful for a truly beautiful Centenary Mass today โ exquisite liturgy, uplifting music, and angelic singing from our pupils. A perfect conclusion to our centenary celebrations. Thank you, Archbishop Nolan, for leading this special occasion. @ArchdiocGlasgow @Doug_GCC
THANKS FOR EVERYTHING, DAVID! | It is with great sadness, but with immense pride that David Winters has made the decision to continue his career progression as a manager in his own right.
Having added West of Scotland Football League Cup winner and Scottish Junior Cup winner to his already impressive CV, David feels that the time is right to be his own man in the dugout as well as on the training pitch.
David and the players have brought two cups to the club this season and will forever be remembered as a hero Doon the brae. Having stepped up to steady the ship, focusing and supporting the players & what they could potentially achieve this season, the club will always be indebted to him. He even introduced the players to hot yoga!
A great manager. An even better person.
Having been supported through his UEFA A Licence whilst with Darvel Football Club, we fully support his ambitions and are delighted to have played a small part in what we know will be a successful managerial/coaching career.
The club have invited David, Suzanne, and the boys, down for a presentation at Recreation Park from everyone at the club as a thank you for what he and the players have achieved.
We would like to invite all Darvel Football Club supporters to come along and add their own congratulations to him in person. This will take place on Saturday 22 June, and we will be having a family BBQ and a meet and greet with the new manager and the players in the afternoon. From the success of the present to the hope for the future.
David added โI made the decision to stay as interim manager to help the players keep their focus, and guide them, to give them the best chance to win the Scottish Junior Cup, in which we were successful. I am extremely proud of these boys and happy that they will have memories to last them and their families for a long time. For me, itโs time to leave on a high, and build on the foundations of this season by pursuing my own managerial position in the future. It also gives the new management team of Michael and Jamie a freshness for the new season, and I have no doubt that they will serve Darvel Football Club well and keep the momentum going. Both are very passionate about the style of play they would like to implement and I wish them and the rest of the team all the success for next season and beyond. Next for me? Who knows?โ
Primary 1b shared their learning from their space topic at assembly. They presented, danced and sang so well. We are so proud of you all. ๐ชโ๏ธ๐ธ
Iโm constantly in awe of more and more Palestinians refusing misleading framings from mainstream media. This @Yaraeid_ interview on Sky News is an absolute must-see.
