@sarahntuned It would be a tough call, as both are desirable. I'd lean toward the Celica, mostly because it had more of an effect on me when I first saw one in Spain in 1980, and I was 14. More of a rarity to me. The 280s were *everywhere*, relatively speaking.

I stuck around because it Just Worked, did more than I needed, gives me more control, and is fun. That, and BeOS went away.

@InternetH0F They show up in mine sometimes. Usually a drawer full of old devices with odd shapes and weird UIs that don't work, and I want to make an unimportant phone call. The odd part is that these are all my mom's old stuff, and she died in 1988, well before mobile phones...

@BrodieOnLinux I do find it amusing how some people think that double-click is a be-all and end-all thing that annoys them to death to have to change a setting. Some people will be annoyed with either setting.
Single-click is the superior choice, of course.

@BrodieOnLinux I have single-clicked on Linux/KDE for 23 years, and going back to Windows 95. While I regret the switch to a different default, it really isn't a big deal. It is something I will need to add to the relatively small number of settings tweaks, an extra few clicks at best.

@BridgetPhetasy I wanted to, but there was no room for it in my "college prep" curriculum, though this was mainly so I could graduate on time, due to missing some time when traveling. I use this as my excuse for not being able to type, nearly 40 years on. The next one will be arthritis, lol.

@GloriousEggroll I prefer icons off to a side or corner, when using a bottom or side panel. Middle is too distracting. On an ultra wide, I'd mentally break it into separate areas, and have things off- centered. I normally use a short vertical panel on the left side of my right-hand monitor

@BrodieOnLinux Wayland-only since late '21. KDE neon/RX6650/multiple monitors. I switched when setting up autorotation on a laptop, which Just Worked in Wayland. I game w/Steam, don't use Zoom/Slack for vid sharing. No issues for my usage, but everyone is different, so my case is not universal.

As a #Linux user, I would have though that installing @OpenMediaVault would give me a new thing to dig around in and set up. Alas, I was wrong. It is sort of boring, as a home NAS should be. Diving into #docker a bit, just to have something to do with it.
