Most of our service area is expected to be in an enhanced risk for severe thunderstorms Tuesday. This means numerous severe thunderstorms are possible. 🌪️
The main threats will be damaging straight line winds and isolated tornadoes, with the timing being from the early afternoon through evening.

Due to the storms and high winds, we are experiencing widespread outages. Trees and tree limbs will continue to cause more outages. The saturation of the ground causes more trees to come down and rain-soaked limbs also contribute to outages.

FEMA will be conducting a nationwide test Wednesday at 2:20 p.m., sending emergency alerts to cellphones, TVs and radio stations. The purpose is to ensure its systems continue to be an effective means of alerting the public to emergencies, particularly national threats.
While the per kilowatt hour (kWh) Energy Charge will be increasing, there will also be a decrease in the Power Cost Adjustment (PCA). This means that members using the industry residential average of 1,000 kWh per month will remain the same.
