@KentBeck And then negotiate from a B- to an A.
True Story: I knew someone who did that. He did nothing half the semester, climbed to a C, then he bet the teacher that he would ace the final. She agreed if he did then he could have an A. He did. She did. Jaws dropped.
@TheBloggess (1) Nothing wrong with funding higher education; Folks shouldn't have to pay their entire lives because they wanted to better themselves and they didn't come from $$.
(2) We need to stop reinforcing the idea that college is the only path upward.
@ANoorTM I'd go with Java. Very explicit, albeit ceremonious. Very little magic/hidden elements + created by academics. It's a good teaching/learning language. From there, transitioning to other stuff is easy bc you'll have the foundation.
I owned one of these pocket rockets. What a fun (and inexpensive) way to scoot around town!
It will be our last Chevy EV now that we know @GM doesn't honor their warranties.

@laurieontech How many subscribers did Spotify lose when their mgmt confirmed they were OK with being a platform for misinformation and crazy conspiracy theories?
About that many.
Let's get real for a moment. If you're a dev, 75% of your time is going to be spent taking stuff out of a database and putting it on a screen. If you're lucky, some of that remaining 25% will involve you taking stuff off a screen, and putting it into a database. Then death.
@GM why stop supporting vehicles that are still under warranty?
This is the #1 reason why you can't trust GM's EV warranties. They have just demonstrated that they won't honor them.

@Lindsey_design Keep at it. You have chosen a career path where learning & experimentation never stop.
Forget about being "good," just concentrate on being better. It's never ending.
@RonJeffries I feel like the more frequently I commit, the better off I usually am (and the easier it is roll back to a good state if I screw something up).
