@showipintbri I believe network diagrams are a critical part of being a network engineer. Diagrams during the design phase are essential. But manually created diagrams to document state is insane in todays world.
SuzieQ Enterprise actually has a very nice and SUPER fast diagram engine.
Start the New Year with Go!
Most of my scripting work these days is in Python but The Go language (golang) has been hovering on the periphery for some time.

In the fall of 2021 I was approached by EC-Council (global cybersecurity training body and developers of the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification among many others) to develop a network automation course for their CodeRed platform.

We’ve teamed up with filmmaker Jacob Morrison to share their film River’s End, which reveals California’s complex struggle over who gets fresh water. It’s a story that heralds an impending crisis — not just in California, but around the world. https://t.co/JToe0mCyL3!
💖 I'm sponsoring knsv because…Knut has developed and is maintaining a module that will change how we do diagrams! You can get a taste of how powerful it is in my "Just say No to Visio" Cisco DevNet Create session. https://t.co/9euw3G5Dp7
We have to re-evaluate how we capture information!!
I spent a large portion of my week with a client watching network and security engineers painstakingly draw out networks and application flows and all I could think about was:

Join me in attending a wide variety of sessions aimed at upscaling your skills and giving you new ideas at DevNet Create. If I'm lucky you will join me for my 'Just say No to Visio' session where we will look at drawing network diagrams in Python.

@nickrusso42518@IPvZero Like Ansible it has moved to a more modular framework (plugins) so now you have to register the bits you want to use. I get with Ansible and Nornir moved in that direction but I wind up spending alot of time "uplifting" previously working scripts.
@IPvZero@nickrusso42518 During such a fundamental paradigm shift more attention should be paid to some level of consistency or adoption becomes even more difficult.
@ThreeFDDI @simingy@gp_ifconfig Thank you for your discussion and recommendations! My Herman Miller Embody chair just arrived! Beautifully packaged. No assembly...you can go right to adjusting and then back to coding in supreme comfort!
