Stanford University researchers analyzed 4 million job applications and found that 26% of Black applicants and 15% of Asian applicants applied to jobs where AI hiring systems worked against their racial group.
The researchers estimate that if those candidates had been recommended at the same rate as the most-favored group, roughly 40,000 additional applications would have advanced to the next stage of hiring.
the most underrated NFL training technique nobody at the HS level is doing:
contrast training.
dead simple:
heavy squats → box jumps
heavy bench → med ball throws
heavy deadlifts → broad jumps
the heavy load wakes up every fast twitch fiber.
the explosive movement teaches them to fire violently.
zero extra time. youre already lifting.
twice a week → your first step gets violent
guaranteed.
Pac was not no thug at heart. He was a bright, sensitive & compassionate art school kid w/ a warrior spirit...who went through hell. His environment & experiences hardened & changed him.
He's actually a cautionary tale on how the hood forces smart Black boys to adapt to survive
One of the most incredible aspects of the World Cup in the United States is what we DIDN’T have to do to prepare for it.
Qatar built multiple brand new stadiums, a metro system, roads, hotels, and entire districts.
South Africa built new stadiums, parking, etc.
Brazil spent billions on stadium and transit projects.
Russia built and rebuilt venues across the country.
Meanwhile, the U.S. was like: “We’re good.”
Like, we modified the playing surface in some stadiums and that was it.
The sport venue infrastructure in the US mogs every other country on earth and it’s not even close.
It is this Ole Miss fan’s opinion that a black kid cannot afford a nice car unless it was obtained illegally through some under the table deal
Maybe Lane Kiffin was right?
The irony in this is that a former star Duke 1 & done draftee who was actually on a better basketball trajectory than SGA when a motorcycle accident ended his career, is being told by an unathletic twitter user that he isn’t qualified to speak on basketball 😂 gotta love this app
I’m going to be honest. I’m a huge fan of policing your own. MLB does it. NHL does it. NFL does it. The only way to get players to stop acting like idiots, is to let them know when they are. If a team is going to constantly flop and foul bait, then you may as well get your money’s worth. I’d love to see more of this in the NBA. It’s the only way things are going to get cleaned up. Obviously, the league isn’t going to fix it.
one of my homies today asked me to imagine what jameis might say to dart about all this. i said “anything is on the board.”
here’s the board. as you can see, i was correct.
Highly recommend letting people know you're capable of madness from time to time. Especially if you're a quiet, soft spoken person. Disrespect sometimes needs to be met with disrespect.. let mfers know you can go from 0-100 real quick.
I genuinely believe this is one of the more important national conversations the NBA and NBA media have had in recent years. People hate watching this. The best team in the league and the two-time MVP doing it so much may finally force the league's hand (hopefully, for more than a few weeks this time).
