I’m pleased to announce that following a 9 month feasibility study, @bp_plc and @boconline are exploring opportunities to collaborate on the design and deployment of an initial network of hydrogen refuelling stations for the heavy-duty transport sector.

A liquid-hydrogen-powered, heavy-duty commercial truck with a 1,000-mile range? @ChartInd & @hyzonmotors are working on it, and we're intrigued. Story via @gasworld#Hydrogen#CleanEnergy

Tees Valley will be the UK’s first hydrogen transport hub! We are one step closer to a hydrogen-fuelled green revolution, with the hub helping develop cleaner fuels and new transport technologies to propel us towards our net-zero transport goals by 2050 🍃 #GreenRevolution
The road ahead is clear 🚛 You can save thousands of pounds in fuel costs – while contributing to efforts for net-zero – by moving to natural gas.

I was lucky enough to get behind the wheel of a #Hydrogen powered @ToyotaMotorCorp Mirai yesterday. It was refined, relaxing and a surprisingly normal driving experience. The future, no doubt.
Eat less meat -> separate food waste from regular waste -> capture #biogas from food waste -> use #biogas to fuel transport & heat homes. Fantastically simple https://t.co/hxdvU8Wmit

**Bar Chart Race for CO2**
The changing ranks of the 10 largest CO2 emitters in the world since 1850.
Fascinating to see nations rise, fall & rise again in their yearly emissions*
See how the UK dominates the C19th & US the 20th.
Then watch China surge ahead after 2005…
@DrSimEvans Ah ok, that’s interesting. Another dimension may be added over the coming years as gas is more widely used in transport, ironically to reduce CO2 emissions. The results can be quite dramatic when Biomethane is thrown into the mix. Let’s hope for further improvement in both areas!
@DrSimEvans How can the gas we use to heat homes & the transport sector both be the biggest producers of CO2? “Transport is now the single-largest sector within the UK’s CO2 emissions total”?
