I hope Polish-American, Ukrainian-American, and Lithuanian-American voters -- especially in states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin -- are paying attention to the GOP decision to abandon our support for East European security. Reagan would not be happy.
House Republican leadership is bluffing. They’re saying the bill won’t receive a vote in the House to try to undercut it in the Senate. If the Senate passes the bill with bipartisan support, there are ways to get it to the House floor, where it will have majority support.
This senate bill has a pathway for our Afghan allies who were promised on upon taking the job, and eliminates the asylum backlog (among a lot of other good things). If the GOP rejects this it is 100 percent politics.
Dems need to flip the border script on the GOP
As Republican Senators and members of Congress start to cave to Trump's demands *not* to help solve the border crisis and *not* to help Ukraine, I am reposting once again this article from 2020.
