@jtvan44@RavensTalkPod My point was only that the cap space can be created and they were willing to take that on before when they offered what they offered. People somehow refusing to believe that his knee concerns could be worse than otherwise thought.
@jtvan44@RavensTalkPod You should know better. Plenty of available contracts to restructure and Crosbys deal was able to be restructured to make his cap hit $7m this year. Bills didn’t have $25m in space to take on Moores deal either…until they did
@SharpFootball Ok so what you’re saying in these examples is that maybe they have a proven conservative approach in terms of evaluating players’ medical. Which is their right and basically debunks your “buyers remorse” theory.
@jtvan44@Baltimore_MJD Your inspector is a third-party. You are either saying that the ravens instructed their doctors and several other third-party independent doctors to fail his physical so that they could sign Trey Hendrickson, or that those physicals didn’t fail and they’re just lying to get out
@jtvan44@Baltimore_MJD Yes but there has also been reporting about longer term concerns (arthritis, etc) that maybe they didn’t know about. That specific surgery might have gone fine. Of course they’re going to make a move for another player. It’s a major area of need.
@jtvan44@Baltimore_MJD You are assuming that everyone has perfect information before they agree to the deal. If that were the case, then why are these deals, every deal, pending a physical? You wouldn’t need that clause in there. So it’s there to solely account for buyers remorse?
@jtvan44@Baltimore_MJD I’m sure we were keeping tabs in the event the medical didn’t come back good. All of these FA deals materialize quickly once tampering starts so that doesn’t make sense. So we were willing to give up two firsts when we thought Hendrickson would make $35m and not when it was $30m?
@jtvan44@Baltimore_MJD How so? Cowboys aren’t interested any longer and we had their doc review his medical. And don’t tell me they’re not interested solely bc of Rashan Gary
@jtvan44@Baltimore_MJD It’s just as reasonable that once their docs and third party docs gave their opinions on his medicals that they went into scramble mode to engage with Hendrickson and get something done. Obviously that story doesn’t sell as well in the media.
@tjmcaulay@sportsball78 So you are saying that if the ball was a little closer to his body and he extended his arms slightly before the ball was knocked out that it’s a catch? It’s because his arms were already extended that it isn’t? Isn’t that a bit absurd?
