I don’t like the new subway car displays telling you which car/ side of the station you are closest to. Eliminates the knowledge gap between ball knowers and non-ball knowers
@ForgottenNY@CMShahanaHanif Cars have had 5 years to adjust to the bridge being closed and there have no been issues. There is truly no reason for @NYC_DOT to not make this a car free bridge
The Carroll Street Bridge will reopen soon, and I encourage DOT to open it for pedestrians and cyclists only!
Reopening this historic landmark is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to reimagine how we share public space in Gowanus. As our neighborhood grows, we should prioritize safe, accessible infrastructure that serves pedestrians and cyclists, reduces traffic violence, and strengthens community connection.

The driver who committed this massacre, which bystanders describe as a Halloween-like bloody scene, is a Morningside Heights resident. In an area served by dozens of subway/bus lines, he still chose to drive his precious Mercedes, drunk. And 5 people paid the price.
