i wrote a paper that is relevant to what’s going on in kpop a few years ago. I wish i had gone more in depth into the toxic fan culture, self policing and fan entitlement sections so i had some scientific thing to say about it all but i don’t really.

Ok so it turns out I cannot pick a color of yarn to use to make my clothes so I cannot make them

people are so open about 🏴‍☠️ing tv shows, games & movies but get really touchy about book 🏴‍☠️ing. it confuses me. you’re also messing w/ the livelihood of workers when you pirate that stuff but i guess authors (not the loads of workers on the other stuff) are the ones we care about

@theoceanblooms sucks the fun out of it but these parents are no longer paying for fun for their kids they’re paying so they can have a bigger chance at the “big leagues” later on. much like most other sports here in the us

@theoceanblooms it works. they still make them do regular club games and they win because it works. it sucks for the kids though, imagine going to practice & all you do is get yelled at to do 15 juggles with the tennis ball & at the very end you get to use the soccer ball to do… passing drills.

no one talks about how draining it is when your mood constantly switches between "keep going, it will get better" and "i can't do this anymore, im about to give up." it's like living in emotional whiplash. one hour you're hopeful, the next you're spiraling
