Always been absolutely baffled by the lack of ergonomics with #SteamDeck, specifically around their stubbornness to keep pushing the terrible touch pads. No game out there is built with them in mind; novelty at best. But core controls are crammed to the top 30% of the unit. 🤦♂️
yees and i liked it. here are my notes on the notes:
- Chemistry first -> medication enables strategies
- melatonin: 2-3 hours before going to sleep
- energy is like voltage, things require their respectiveminimum voltage or it doesn't work at all
- three types of procrastinationADHD Procrastination: you want to do the task, but can’t because of distraction/hyperactivity.
- Anxious Procrastination: you know you have to do the task, but you don’t want to, because it triggers difficult emotions.
- Decision Paralysis Procrastination: you don’t know how to execute the task, because it involves a decision and you have difficulty making the decision.
- weekly reviews
- task selection: pick shortest or most-procrastinated taskif something gets procrastinated on a lot, it gets done first
- make regular project checkins, even if it's just "think" about this project for 30 minutes
- all inboxes should be at zero
- do things on your own terms.e.g. stressed about an email and anxious about opening the email app: write email in your own text editor
- “Interrupts” means notifications, which arrive at unpredictable and often inconvenient times. “Polling” means manually checking the source of the notifications for things to action.
- accountability partner
- seperate planning from action, so if you get distracted while acting, you can return to the plans
- use a producvity system that is fun. can be complex. "like trying to use ocd to defeat adhd"

knowledge is not a house you carefully build brick by brick. it’s a net. you chaotically stretch threads from one edge to the other until less and less falls through.
this is a crazy time in my life right now: getting adhd diagnosed a few months ago, starting meds and using ai agents to help me manage my life feels like leveling up to clemens 2.0
