Nigeria’s Daily Gas Production Rises to 7.93bcf as Domestic Sales Hit 2.18bcf/d
Nigeria’s gas production rose to 7.93bcf/d in May 2026, representing a 0.63% year-on-year increase from the 7.88bcf/d recorded in the corresponding period of 2025.
A breakdown of May’s production data shows that Associated Gas (AG) accounted for 3.96bcf/d, while Non-Associated Gas (NAG) contributed 3.98bcf/d. This indicates that non-associated gas is increasingly carrying its own weight in the production mix and reflects the maturation of dedicated gas development initiatives.
On a month-on-month basis, gas production declined marginally by 0.12% from 7.94bcf/d recorded in April.
Over the past five months, gas production has maintained a positive trajectory, rising from 7.80bcf/d in January to 7.81bcf/d in February, 7.85bcf/d in March, and 7.94bcf/d in April.
In terms of gas utilisation during the period, export sales declined from 4.13bcf/d to 3.07bcf/d, accounting for 40% of total production. Meanwhile, sales to the domestic market increased from 2.03bcf/d to 2.18bcf/d, representing 26.6% of total gas utilisation.
The increase in domestic sales reflects ongoing efforts to meet local supply obligations.
As the power, industrial, and gas-based manufacturing sectors continue to expand under the national gas agenda, the potential for further growth remains significant.
Further analysis shows that 2.11bcf/d, representing 26.5% of total production, was allocated to own-use, while 0.57bcf/d, or 6.9%, was flared, underscoring the country’s commitment to ending routine gas flaring by 2030.
Year-to-date production remained firm at an average of 7.87Bscf/d, up from 7.82Bscf/d recorded in the first quarter (Q1), and increased further to 7.94Bscf/d across April and May 2026.

Foolish clown!
You and other failed artistes, who out of ignorance continue to talk down Lagos that gives you life, will regret those rhetorics, when the backlashes begin to bear fruits, even to children unborn!
it wasn’t intended to tarnish Lagos, a state that has accommodated us all and supported our art , our business and our growth. for many years. We live here and it’s our home and we will always treat it as such. Thank You and stay Blessed!

I welcome the understanding reached between the United States and Iran on ending the conflict in West Asia, which has caused serious economic disruption across the world and led to loss of life in many countries.
India hopes that the implementation of this understanding will help restore peace and stability in the region and ensure the freedom of navigation and commerce.
We look forward to deliberations on the remaining issues reaching a sustainable final agreement.
Following intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that the Peace Deal between the United States of America and Islamic Republic of Iran has been REACHED. Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon.
The official signing ceremony will be on Friday, 19 June in Switzerland.
We would like to thank the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran for their commitment to finding a diplomatic solution to the conflict. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our brothers in this mediation effort, the great leadership of State of Qatar, for their support in reaching this agreement. I would also especially thank the visionary leadership of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Republic of Türkiye for their immense contributions in this regard.
With the agreement now in place, mediators will facilitate a series of meetings this week. These pre-implementation discussions will lay the foundation for the technical talks and the official signing ceremony.

@VicUgochukwu@topeapoola@ansem_edet It's not about who remains in power or not, because Tinubu will leave someday, but those who are trying to water down the sordid events that happened in Anambra State should not be spared of their gross hypocrisy!
I have stopped going to South Africa for any international conferences for mainly 3 things.
1. Border police rudeness: Some years ago I was invited for a conference on conflicts in the Horn in South Africa. I showed email invite to the border policeman at the desk. He rudely asked: "but why can't you people hold your peace conferences in your homes. Why always come to South Africa?" - I think he had a point. Why must we?
Second time it was worse - "But why are you Zomallis and Ethiopians always here."
I reminded him I was actually Kenyan, and I was only in the country for 2 days for an international conference
Reply: "Sheh, um, eh. But what is the difference"
2. As soon as locals figure out you are a black person, possibly African from another country, the automatic assumption is that you are an illegal migrant. You see immediate hostile reaction. Honestly, I found SA one of the most miserable places on earth in terms of peoples' attitude to foreigners. The visceral hatred towards fellow Africans is unnerving. Still one of the most beautiful geographies in Africa.
3. The state bureaucracy and departments filled with people who actually know very little about the outside world. Most of the best people who made South Africa an outward-looking African power are gone. All remaining are small-time apparatchiks stealing from the state and fat toads serving as diplomats. I feel sorry for South Africa.

Ghanaian Father, Japanese Mother, born in the United States.
His family relocated to Japan when he was very little.
The choice to use his mother’s surname and not his father’s surname is generally due to integration.
Since they were moving permanently to Japan, it only made sense to use that surname.
In Japan, family registration and daily life strongly favor Japanese surnames for smoother integration, schooling, legal matters, and obtaining/affirming Japanese citizenship (which he holds).
If they remained in US or moved to Ghana, he probably would have used his father’s surname, I assume.
Anyways, he went through Urawa Red Diamonds’ academy before going on loan in Belgium and then established himself at Parma in the Italian Serie A.
He’s one goalkeeper many clubs are monitoring, he was linked to Manchester United at some point, and I hope he gets a big move shortly.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Zion Suzuki
Amaechi recently lied that he is the one who made Buhari president. Meanwhile, Amaechi did not vote for Buhari in 2015 because he unwisely directed the people of Rivers to boycott the polls, as he was overwhelmed by the forces of Wike.

GOV OBIANO DEBUNKED PETER OBI LIES OF LEAVING MONEY BEHIND.
He left debt of contractors unpaid to the tune of #185 billion but claimed he left #79 billion.
Donald Duke is arguably the only candidate that can come close to president bola Ahmed tinubu.
But the people who are shouting a new Nigeria is possible ain’t gonna vote for him. Makes me wonder if they truly want a new Nigeria. 🤷🏾♂️
