🚨 WILLIAMS WANTS F1 TO CHANGE THE COST CAP FOR 2027

James Vowles is pushing for a new “catch-up” system that would allow teams outside the top four to spend MORE than the leading teams.

The idea is to stop F1 becoming permanently split into two tiers, with the biggest teams benefiting from infrastructure and efficiencies built before the cost cap.

Audi, Aston Martin, Alpine and Cadillac are understood to broadly support the proposal — but Williams is currently ONE vote short of getting it through for 2027.

If it misses that threshold, a change for 2028 would be easier to approve.
