This photo of Serena Williams shows her yelling at the ump during the 2018 US Open. He deducted points off her score so she called him a sexist and accused him of treating men less harshly. I believe that her accusations stemmed from her emotional distress. #honorssocialmedia

@Chini_Lahoti @IISuperwomanII I have also started watching her! I think her videos are engaging and the message that she brings forth is powerful. These two factors add up to why she is a popular YouTube celebrity.

@nhaggerty_391AH If somebody is watching Netflix during class, I would question why they came to class in the first place. The only thing I could think of is that they want participation points. However, it doesn't seem like the student cares about the class anyway. #honorssocialmedia

Usually when I get distracted in class by a laptop, it is when I see other students using one. It's human nature to look when a disturbance is nearby or if something is moving. Since laptops have large screens, I feel that it is tempting to glance over. #honorssocialmedia

When I looked up research publications and reports on the effectiveness of laptops being used in the classroom, I found that most concluded there were positive effects among varying age groups. One of the manuscripts I looked at was https://t.co/Ti4o6jPEcW #honorssocialmedia

Some of my reasons for supporting laptops in the classroom include: able to help students write notes neater, provide unlimited information to enhance the learning process and the gain of familiarity of utilizing technology to assist with work.

(2/2) This is a valid reason to want to have a laptop in the classroom. However, I feel more comfortable writing in print because I can read my own handwriting and I learn better knowing that I have the physical paper copy of notes with me. #honorssocialmedia

[catherinelerose @clerose8399]

(1/2) If I had to choose between banning laptops or requiring them, I would pick the latter. However, using a laptop isn't a preference for everybody. For example, I know a lot of people take notes on their laptop due to their illegible handwriting... #honorssocialmedia
