carlos: “maybe most likely me”
alex: “i would say carlos in that regard. i do think he would be. like i could see him being more involved in it. i think he enjoys that part of it”

Carlos Sainz, who has been one of the most vocal in warning about the potential for accidents based on the closing speeds, has said he's excited to see what new regulations can be introduced for Miami:
"We as GPDA, we've warned the FIA that these accidents are going to happen a lot with this set of regulations, and we need to change something soon, if we don't want them to happen.
"It was 50G I heard, just imagine what kind of crash you could have in Vegas, Baku, etc.
"I hope it serves as an example, and the teams listen to the drivers, and not so much to the teams and some people who said the racing was okay, because the racing is not okay." #F1 #JapaneseGP
🗣️: the team has admitted the car has a bit of weight to lose. (...) has james asked you to cut your hair to save weight as well?!
carlos: also.
🗣️: is this another haircut?
carlos: it's all part of the strategy!
even ted was surprised by the haircut 😭😭😭
the mercedes team went bowling and carlos happened to be there 😭😭😭
george: we've somehow got carlos sainz here as well. i don't really know... he's hiding over there. don't know what that's about, he just rocked up! so maybe he wants to join mercedes...maybe as a mechanic.
2 years ago today, Carlos Sainz won in Australia, marking the end of a 9-race winning streak by Max Verstappen.
6 months earlier, Sainz's win in Singapore ended a 10-race win streak by Verstappen.
he did find a way 😉
carlos: because it's a P9, (...) i was not going to play too aggressive, but then i saw the blue flags coming, and i said, “if i play this well, i can keep him dirty air, then get my overtake mode.”
🗣️: singapore 23 again, but for P9 and 10 instead of P1 and 2, yeah?
carlos: rather than DRS train, overtake mode train.
