March 27 1796 - I do love my wife dearly and that is the God's truth of it, and she is a thousand times too good for me, and I am not very bad neither, but then she is so infinitely better that it throws my great merit into the shade.
You’ll see plenty of condemnation of a few Israeli football hooligans getting punched in Amsterdam yesterday, but you won’t see any push alerts or politicians talking about this massacre which happened at the same time.
In a family meeting discussing high-risk surgery, while I was talking about how high the risk is, the surgery resident said "Let's take a step back. What is the goal of the surgery?"
I was like, "Wow, right! That is the Q I'm supposed to ask!!"
Three years ago, I got some footage that I couldn’t get out of my mind.
It showed the first police killing captured on body-worn cameras in NY.
The NYPD didn’t want anyone to see it.
It eventually launched me on the biggest story I’ve ever done, w/ @NYTmag

Subterfuge: Forcing resignation of university president for failing to condemn non-existent “calls for genocide” of Jews - all while an actual US-supported genocide of Palestinians underway - is ALL about silencing criticism of Israel, and we ALL know it. https://t.co/32zM2SqsnX
The language of dehumanization:
🇮🇱 - Children
🇵🇸 - People under 18
🇮🇱 - Civilians
🇵🇸 - Collateral damage
🇮🇱 - Women and children
🇵🇸 - Human shields
🇮🇱 - Hostages
🇵🇸 - Prisoners
🇮🇱 - Killed
🇵🇸 - Died
🇮🇱 - Attacks
🇵🇸 - Explosions
“And yet, leading law schools and legal scholars in the United States still fashion their silence as impartiality and their denial as nuance. Is genocide the crime of all crimes if it is committed by Western allies against non-Western people?”
Speechless
“there was some concern in the administration about an unintended consequence of the pause: that it would allow journalists broader access to Gaza & the opportunity to further illuminate the devastation there & turn public opinion on Israel.”

West Bank Update: Attack on health care in Jenin
In the early hours of November 17, Israeli forces surrounded hospitals across Jenin, including MSF-supported Khalil Suleiman Hospital, while the military forces were conducting incursions into a refugee camp in the city. An explosion and shooting were heard from the hospital compound.
The MSF team inside the emergency room of Khalil Suleiman Hospital was unable to receive and treat any casualties from the camp, as ambulances were blocked by Israeli forces.
Around 6 AM, the Israeli forces ordered through megaphones everyone inside the hospital to come out; the staff did not leave the hospital out of fear. They then withdrew an hour later.
"Attacks on healthcare personnel and facilities have become a routine across the West Bank, and intensified since October 7.
Healthcare workers are regularly being attacked by the Israeli military while ambulances cannot move freely to reach the injured and ill. These attacks must stop now.” -Renzo Fricke, an MSF Head of Mission in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
Important to remember the horrific war crimes in Gaza aren’t being done by “the Jews” but rather by a particular murderous right wing Israeli administration. Many brave Jews in Israel & abroad condemn the slaughter. Our fight is against oppression. No room for antisemitism.
